the_mask Posted December 19, 2003 Posted December 19, 2003 Actually this reminded me of Scath coming up with the Zooth ... Is there anything you want to tell us, Scath ? Maybe it's not Scath's doing, but more likely that of a vicious feline, trying to take over the world. You know, again http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif

Trejiuvanat Posted December 19, 2003 Posted December 19, 2003 What do you mean mask??? Like Zoot and Scath joining forces to stop SOCL's revolutionary movement? And the rest of us inbetween??? It does sound interesting, though. If we could only get Zoot and Jahled back online, it'd be more interesting... http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif

Trejiuvanat Posted December 19, 2003 Posted December 19, 2003 It would be interesting to see how you, SOCL, and your Revolution would fare against a possible alliance between Scath and Zoot... http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif
SOCL Posted December 20, 2003 Author Posted December 20, 2003 It would be interesting to see how you, SOCL, and your Revolution would fare against a possible alliance between Scath and Zoot...I would probably...[sigh]...lose. A psychotic feline and...well...Scath...against me...forget it...there's no hope. ...of course, all three of us could secretly be allies. Jahled Posted January 7, 2004 Posted January 7, 2004 Extreme wooness to you brother, (and thankiness for the Christmas card). I gotta say I just voted and it's reasonably obvious which title for... cause it should have just gone from four to five... Apologies for no blue bits to click on, i've just got back to London and my PC has mysteriously not repaired itself in my absense. Soooo, you get added to the list with Mask for extremely delayed celebrations when I get this aging little box sorted, or shift my butt to Holland... http://www.jahled.co.uk/smallmonkeywars.gif

the_mask Posted January 8, 2004 Posted January 8, 2004 You had a car accident ? You OK, no injuries ? Btw, what's an AA car ? AntiAircraft ? AstroAvian ? Jahled Posted January 9, 2004 Posted January 9, 2004 The AA is the British Automobile Association; who save us when we brake down in the middle of nowhere... but they also teach folks how to drive... ...errr... well...umm... Being a teenager was fun at points, but a right headache at others when I look back on it... 'The bus incident in the AA learner car,' is one episode I care not to linger on. Wierd as it may sound, for someone who has spent most of their life staying vertical on two wheels, I simply couldn't get the bearings of a car when I was younger. Such is life. http://www.jahled.co.uk/smallmonkeywars.gif
the_mask Posted January 11, 2004 Posted January 11, 2004 Ah, that rings a bell. In Germany they are called the ADAC (yep almost made it to ACDC), which translates to something like 'general german automobile club'.Having some close relatives, who know how to fix cars also helps a lot, as I've learned time and again http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
SOCL Posted January 30, 2004 Author Posted January 30, 2004 Ah, yes, here it's called Driver's Education (or Driver's Ed), or maybe I'm comparing two different things. Now, it sounds like the things in Germany and the UK belong to the federal government...or did I misunderstand? Trejiuvanat Posted February 1, 2004 Posted February 1, 2004 There aren't such things in Costa RIca, there are Driver's School, but they are voluntary. The guys working at the Ministry of Transporation, the ones that supervise how well you perform your practical test, just politely "ask" for a "contribution", so that you can get the license... (It's about 2000 colones, some $5). That might be the reason behind me not getting a drivers license... http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif

You have to go to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV and run by your respective state/provincial government) and do a course test. Of course, the test varies from state-to-state so you'll find that some states have good drivers, and others, like the locals here in Tennessee, are...let's just say DANGEROUS. Interestingly though, I don't think the Federal Department of Transportation (same level as a ministry) monitors the state-run DMVs.... Realization strikes SOCL like a ton of feathers... That's why the drivers here in Tennessee are so terrible! SOCL: Putting the BE in BEAK.Read the Forum Rules - Welcome the New Members - Rebellion Reloaded -
ElvisMiggell Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 Here you don't have to have lessons to do the test i don't think. But if you do have lessons, it's gotta be by another qualified driver... obviously... Elvismiggell. Strike me down and i will become more powerful than you can ever imagine... Okay, imagine this, I click the link that arrived in my e-mail to the topic "SOCL at 2000 Posts!" and what do I come to read: something about cars! HAHAHA!
