Now that's kind of funny, Antilliles... You're American, so you shouldn't know a milliard... Milliard is the British word for billion (don't get confused: the British billion equals the American Trillion, and the British trillion equals the American quintillion, so the British skip the American quadrillion). Amount = American - British
1000 x 1000 = million - million
1000 x 1000 x 1000 = billion - milliard
1000 X 1000 X 1000 x 1000 = trillion - billion

I think it's just the u.s. americans that do everything different form the rest of the world... the european coutning system is valid in costa Rica too and I suppose in the rest of latinamerica too..
