Well you are going to need a really good one to play Half Life 2. The graphics on that game are insane! They redid the engine and stuff, some really nice models are in the game too. :D

Well, for the time being i play on a:

1.3 Ghz AMD Athlon

20 GB HD

128 SDRAM

Audigy 2 Sound

Kyro II 64 Mb graphics card, based on the Radeon 4500 - equivalent to a good GeForce2

17" Flatron monitor.

However, I'm about to order my new PC.

3.03 Ghz AMD Athlon

180 GB HD

1024 Mb DDR RAM

Think it was an Audigy 2 sound card, not sure

Twin 24" flat panel monitors, probably link in my old one too.

GeForce 5, which is why I'm having to wait. :)

I'll probably link in all my old HD as well and it's going to have separate CDR/W and DVD R/W drives, etc etc and all sorts of gaadgets and gizmo's. It's going to set me back around £2500. :)

Elvismiggell. Strike me down and i will become more powerful than you can ever imagine...

Not gone, merely marching far away

I'm getting a new Dell soon. It'll have 60 GB of hard drive, a Pentium 4 processor, DVD-ROM, a CD burner, and a lot of other stuff, but since I don't know much about computer specs and stuff, I'll stop trying to be cool. :(

a 486 with 1GB RAM won't run REb, though...

dont be sure  maybe with a fast Harddrive and windows '95

Is it possible to run SW rebellion very laggy?

Reb require minimum 90 MHz...

I remember that I first plalyed Reb on a Pentium 120

with 16MBRAM

and 2GB of Hard Disk...

And it wasn't laggy.

I had WIN 95B though, otherwise it wouldn't run in WIN 95...

  • 1 month later...

400 MHz Pentium II

192 MB RAM

A 14 GB HD and a 6 GB HD

Soundblaster Awe32 (ISA)

Matrox Millenium II AGP

Creative Labs 3dfx Voodoo2 card (PCI) (with 4 MB video RAM! Woo!)

Unisys Ether LAN card (RoadRunner Broadband)

17 inch monitor

Windoze 98b

Rebellion runs just fine...

Put an overpowered Solar Ionization Reactor in between two cheap-ass engines and a couple of laser cannon, put a chair with a rudimentary flight control and targeting computer on top, and surround the (unpressurized!) pilot with enough armor plate so he doesn't fry in a tenth of a second... riiiiiiiiight

Do you think would work with EDO RAM ??? Of course it doesn't.

Thats Right :)

In fact, it can work with Dual Channel DDR 400/333, Dual Channel RDRAM, PC 1066/800 and DDR 333/266/200 SDRAM.

Ok boy dont write nonsense here there is no PC 1066/800 RAM available on this planet today. :?

maybe u mean RAMBUS 800  but thats Pentium boards only and no guy uses a P. for gaming just AMDs.

And DDR 400/333 is just supported by a few AMD Boards.

Having 1 GHz of RAM combined with a 512 KB full Speed L2 Advanced Transfer Cache and a 533MHz system bus,

What the heck is 1 GHz of RAM

and a 533MHz system bus ??

maybe u mean the Front Side Bus  and the best is 400 :!:

And the main Question isnt answered "What needs 1GByte RAM?"

Maybe a Server

Ah, hes not the one talking nonsense I do agree though(only on this point) RDRAM is the only ram that I found that would run at 1066 and 800.

Y wouldnt anyone use a P4 for gaming, the fastest P4 chips are faster than the fastest AMD chips. PS he said he had a P4

What the hell do you mean 400 is the fastest FSB check out some specs, intel has a line of cpu's that run at 800 mhz, 533 is fairly common.

y not have a GB of ram, ram is cheap.

to my specs

the one im using

800mhz P3

512 megs RAM

Radeon AIW 32 MB DDR

40+20GB Hard disks

+ A BUNCH of extra stuff

new machene, runs but under construction yet.

P4 2.8

256 MB DDR (going to be 512 or 1 GB depending)

120GB Maxtor

TNT Riva 2 32or64MB (going to be dual with Radeon 9700(or 9800) and a Radeon 9100 PCI)

Why are people afraid to die? It is a natural part of life. Life and Death. They go together. Some people are just willing to speed up that process.
