Already not impressed with the "new" animated clone wars trailer.

It was a new one? I thought it´s still the same trailer isn´t it. 8O

Please don't tell me I am the only one wishing beyond all hope for a X-wing series of some sort?

Now that would rock! And it would work very well i believe.

Set S-Foiles to Attack-Position. Yeah! 8)

It likely is, I was referring to the fact that there already was an animated series based on the Clone Wars and from what I can see in that trailer, this "new" version is going to pretty much follow that story line, just be animated in a different format and maybe have more content.

I quite enjoyed that trailer...

X-Wing as a series could be good... the adventures of Corran Horn would be good... or perhaps a Wraith Squadron series would be better, a bit more diverse and culturally inclusive in today's political climate... or have i been thinking too much?!?

- The series will aim at a wide audience and not just the fans exclusively.

The Clone Wars (Animated)

- The series will be a Saturday morning show aim for a young audience (8/10 years old) (Editorial note from Guillaume: This doesn't make any sense, George already state otherwise. But Rick indicates he doesn't work on the project, so...)

- George is very happy and proud of the way this project is going forward..."

(source: theforce.net)

So no hope that this series will be very dark, rather very mainstreamy. :?

But the live action show will hopefully be more promising. Anything that includes a "horde of bounty hunters" has got to be good.

If it´s not a bountyhuntler like Zam Wessel than maybe yes. I rather expect another demontage of Boba Fett and other minor characters. I can see us all discussing every episode here in that forum and telling how angry we are again about GL.

Yes i think it's best if we come to terms with the fact now that if GL is involved, we're not going to be too keen.

Regardless, I am still highly anticipating it, and look forward to ranting about it while continuing to watch it all the same.

^This without question.

I read somewhere (here?) GL personally dislikes the Empire Strikes Back the most out of all the movies, which sort of fills one with an element of dread for any new projects concerning his mythos, given it is without doubt the best of all the movies in the eyes of the fans, and film critics alike.

As you said though Rob fella, watch it I shall, and have an appropriate rant right here!! :)

Maybe we should hire Boba Fett to do some... creative editing of the staff working on it?

The Good, The Bad, and the Boba?

Something about Boba Fett being the main character in a Galactic Clint Eastwood Western gets me interested.

If I ever developed the mad 3D skillz of Krytos and Mad, I'd totally make the X-wing novels into a 3D series, though I must admit, I'd have a hard time providing all of the voices, particularly the female ones...

Lucas really should look to the EU for his cue, and just take the most popular novels (Bantam and Del Rey, respectively) and create the TV series. Granted, some stuff would have to be changed (We can't have Anakin shrieking "Blaster Bolts!" right before he dies, for instance) but it could still turn out rather well, I think.
