DarthTofu Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 Speaking of conversations... has anyone else noticed in ROTJ that when the ewok that finds Leia dives under the log at the approaching storm troopers he yells "Eat Cha Mamma"... listen closely to the rest of dialog and you find lots of little jems... kinda like trying to figure WTF Kenny says on South Park. (Not quite sober yet) I always assumed it was "Eyechiwawa!" and have used the phrase ever since... The Ewoks weren't entirely chierful, though- there was that one bit where it showed them all getting blasted by chicken walkers and stormies with lots of the little furballs falling down and not getting back up. Lucas tried to make the movies cheerful- as a result if anyone or anything had to die they were typically an undeveloped-style character, like a Rebel Pilot or an unknown Imperial. The only developed characters to die were bad guys like Vader, the Emperor, and Tarkin. Maybe even Ozzil (sp?) to a certain extent. ROTJ represented Lucas's darker side- killing fluffy things! 12/14/07Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
Mad78 Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 I should have watched ROTJ when I was drunk last night. I amy have noticed that element. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
Eagle Posted January 27, 2007 Author Posted January 27, 2007 Talking about Ewok-Language. They (not Wicket) sound also like pakistani or indians when they talk. Allthough I liked RotJ after watching it the first time in cinema as a young teenager, I also was a bit disapointed. After "Empire" it was a rather wors part of the trilogie. All these nice and funny things they´d put in it. Even the Jabba-scenes with all these ridiculous creatures, except of the mighty Rancor of course. That small muppet-alien which sat on Jabba´s throne and allways laughed that loud. Apropos Jabba, when they´d talked about Jabba in the first two movies, I had another imagination of that cruel gangster-boss instead of such a slimy slug. Who cares at all?!
Darth_Rob Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 Has anyone ever realized how scary some of the ewoks looked? I mean, most of them were cute and cuddly bears of love, but there was a few (mainly in the scene where they release Han and company from the net) that looked live demonized evil bears of hate and death. Mad78 Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 I never noticed that... I guess his name was Logray. Who cares at all?!
Darth_Rob Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 Theres quite a few, but I think Master Logray is one of them Your feeble skills are no match for the power of the Dark Side! My Website http://fp.profiles.us.playstation.com/playstation/psn/pid/BigBadBob113.png
Eagle Posted January 28, 2007 Author Posted January 28, 2007 Not to forget these two gay Ewoks, who captured an ATST together with Chewy. They were so fascinated about this tall, strong and hairy guy with blue eyes, uuhh. Who cares at all?!
DarthTofu Posted January 28, 2007 Posted January 28, 2007 It's all brotherly love, Eagle. I suppose the one thing that really annoyed me was the way the Ewoks managed to trip the chicken walkers with a bunch of logs and stuff. My idea of a better ending: The fleet sends in reenforcements and they come flying down with airspeeders or something and attack the chicken walkers. Or better yet, a couple of squadrons of fighters! That would have been great, too. Granted, they probably really couldn't be spared to much, but they'd most likely have a higher rate of survival if they were in the atmosphere rather than out in the middle of the fight... 12/14/07Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
Jahled Posted January 28, 2007 Posted January 28, 2007 Lucas tried to make the movies cheerful- Or latched on to how much he was making out of his franchise. As Lord_La_Forge previously said. http://www.jahled.co.uk/smallmonkeywars.gif

Grand_Admiral_Thrawn Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 I'm shocked at how she just keeps getting younger looking. History is on the move, Captain. Those who cannot keep up with it will be left behind, to watch from a distance. And those who stand in our way will not watch at all.
Sinister Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 (edited) Since GL is constantly going back and making changes to the OT, maybe he will one day use his editing and CGI technology to remove the Ewoks from ROTJ and replace them with Wookies. That wouldn't be easy, and a lot of the lines would have to be replaced. Luke, Han, and company would probably have to be CGI too in order for it to work in some parts. As for some things I do not like: - Hayden Christensen replacing Sebastian Shaw as the spirit of Anakin Skywalker in ROTJ. That makes absolutely no sense at all. I can just imagine the spirits of Yoda and Kenobi saying "Hey! How come you get to be young again and we're old?" - I like Count Dooku, but I don't like the name Dooku. It just sounds cheesey. I think they could have picked a cooler sounding name. On top of that, since Dooku is supposed to be a Sith, where are his Sith eyes? Truth be told, before AOTC came out I was hoping for a female Sith Lord. I think that would have been cooler. - Greedo shooting first. - Vader's washed out, pink looking lightsaber in ROTJ. There's parts where it looks really bad. Edited May 30, 2007 by Sinister http://www.geocities.com/xenogears23/Jokersinsigmgs.jpg "Life is hard. After all, it kills you." - Katharine Hepburn

turtle Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 11) That one line in Ep. XI about Wedge taking the North tower when they're in the second Death Star. Which way is North in space, exactly? Tofu I don't think they got round to making 11 episodes of SW. X is 10 in roman numerals, V is 5. I have to say when it comes to SW there is little I disliked of the original trilogy. C3PO and R2D2 coming through nearly all dangerous situations pretty much untouched bothered me a little. The SE too many unnecessary additions. The Prequel didn't always seem to match existing material though maybe the stuff I think I know isn''t canon. I also wasn't keen on so many new planets and speices being introduced and given such important roles. Jango Fett didn't deserve even a tenth of the movie time he got.
DarthTofu Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 *blows away the dust* I really am beginning to not like LotF. Check Mara Jades wookieepedia page. Oh, man- I checked the page and was drawn to the spoiler on what happens with her in LotF! Man, I didn't actually want to know that spoiler! And worse yet, I think Troy Dennings got the job for a monumental event again! I DON'T LIKE TROY DENNINGS!!!!1 He thinks that he's writing Rambo meets Star Wars! I agree with you some on that one turtle.... but also I didnt like how they HAD to tie everyone in when it came time for the prequels.... like greedo... they screwed that up since he was already given a back story since after the movies... so they "ret-con'ed" greedo in Ep. I as "Greedo the Elder".... Father to "Greedo the Young".. who shoots first... (HAN SHOOTS FIRST!!!... dang it..)... whew... ok.. but yea... i didnt like how everyone had to be seen at least once... you know?.. i was shocked we didnt run into a baby Han almost... Sinister Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 The Millenium Falcon even got some screen time in the PT, Episode III to be exact. Yes, I was surprised Han didn't appear in the PT, as it would seem everyone else did in some form or another. Oh, and Lando didn't appear either. I wonder who was piloting the Falcon in Episode III... http://www.geocities.com/xenogears23/Jokersinsigmgs.jpg "Life is hard. After all, it kills you." - Katharine Hepburn
JediHunter Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 See ya.. that's another thing.. i thought it was cool that the YT-1300 made an appearance being that it was a ship "used in the old days" when the back story of the falcon was constructed after the original films.. I thought what we were seeing in Ep. III was just that... a generic YT-1300.... and now.. i hear.. it was in fact THE Millenium Falcon... just before any of its relevant history began............ that kinda ruined it for me.. took away the "specialness" of seeing a random ship... at least thats how I felt about it... EDIT: ooo.. wow.. i made commodore "Duct tape is like the force. It has a light side, a dark side, and it holds the universe together."http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j34/akira9949/4297_image.jpg

Darth_Rob Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 Yeah, I don't recall catching that in the movie. Your feeble skills are no match for the power of the Dark Side! My Website http://fp.profiles.us.playstation.com/playstation/psn/pid/BigBadBob113.png
Krytos Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 In which scene did the Falcon appear?? *scratches head* I'll second that. SOCL Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 Watch the scene when Anakin and Kenobi return Palpatine to the Senate building after the Invisible Hand crash-lands. In the lower, lower right-hand corner, there's a quick blur of white and blue. It's the Falcon. It's about as clear as the Outrider taking off from Mos Eisely in the Special Edition of A New Hope--you'll likely have to pause the movie to actually see it. Here's an enhanced photo from Wookieepedia:http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Image:Episode_3_Falcon.jpg SOCL: Putting the BE in BEAK.Read the Forum Rules - Welcome the New Members - Rebellion Reloaded -
