Unfortunatly I don't get cable in my apartment. So I don't watch much TV. Though I do have other means of snagging my favorite shows each week (Simpsons, Heroes, and The Colbert Report). Though doing such, I don't get the commercials, which I sadly miss...

What?! Thanks for spoiling the ending (of the movie) for the rest of us! I bet you're the type who reads the last page of a book first, just to know what's going to happen :? .

Just kidding JH  I (at least) wasn't going to see that movie anyway. I don't go to the "talking moving pictures" that much any more. My snoring bothers the other movie goers

I don't care for movies- you have to go through too many odd lines in them, and you can't stop for a moment to contemplate why something was said as it was. Granted, action flicks and commedy flicks are good because you don't have to pay too much attention to them, as are flicks with good, engaging plots, but the majority of them try to do what SOCL complained about Lucasbooks doing with the Vong- they take too many good things and mix them together, losing large chunks of goodness in the process. (Wow that was a long sentance)

Last flick I saw was Casino Royale... Not bad, but dependant too much on a game of poker to liven up the plot.

I didn't particularly care for it, but differant stuff for differant folks, I suppose. I kinda want to see Epic Movie. I think I posted the trailer in the Randomness thread.

I dunno. Those movies are "iffy". I was excited to see "Date Movie" cause it looked ridiculously funny, but was disappointed. This seems to be the same deal. I might wait for it to go to the $2.00 discount theatre...

I saw Cars today. Brilliant flick!

Happiness to your "inner child" Mad! :D I quite enjoyed it myself. It has that "young whipper-snapper know-it-all learns from the old vet" thing going :D

Plus I liked that scenery ... happy trails 8)

The Tow truck made me think of you Tex :wink:

Gee, thanks Mad ... I think :? I thought of myself more as Doc Hudson though (or maybe even FRED, that really, really, really rusty car whose front bumper always falls off  )

Did anyone else catch the "Easter Egg" of the popular NPR brothers who do the show "Cartalk" voicing a pair of minor car characters in the movie? I liked that, primarily because I think cartalk is one of the best shows on NPR. (Prarie Home Companion comes up rather high as well. Yes, I am one of the very few "young'ins" who enjoys NPR more than, say, poorly sung rap.)

So I'm going to see a movie tomorrow but can't decide which one.

So far I've narrowed it down to either 'Epic Movie' or Children of Men.

Ideas?

I think you should stay home and work on the "Tales of the New Sith Order". You can go to the movies later :D

Nah, just about Zoot Wars.

@Rob: Oddly enough my sister told me the same thing about Labrynith.

I haven't seen it yet, though she claims that it's excellent. I still love Cube and Nothing- highly advise everyone to watch them!

HAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Labrynith was the shizzle back in the day. Be worned, it consists of David Bowie, the Goblin King, singing songs from his ceiling. But it is a classic film (with muppets) that you MUST see. The same goes for The Princess Bride. They may sound like pansy films, but they are classic fantasy flicks.

Ah, yes, the Labyrinth with David Bowie and the cute Jennifer Connelly. Saw it at the cinema a couple of times, back in the days before the empire. :D Rather a childrens movie but still nice to watch because of all these weird creatures like Hoggle and those Trolls or whatever they seem to be.
Who cares at all?!
