Eagle Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 Tofu, Rob, and...hmm... Maybe Mitth? No...You are so close. That Ironman-Trailer looks nice. I also agree with GAT and Kryt what belongs to the new movies. Who cares at all?!
DarthTofu Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 I don't see why everyone hated The Incredible Hulk so much. I saw it and didn't think it was too bad. I'm not a fan of the comics, though, and had never heard of Hulk, so that could be part of it. Daredevil... Okay, yeah, that was a pretty weird one, but I still liked the concept; again, I didn't know who Daredevil was when I saw it, but I still liked the idea of a blind superhero. His girlfriend dying three-quarters of the way through was odd, though, especially when she was trying to kill him and... Ah! I'll watch the Ironman trailer when I have sound.... 12/14/07Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
Darth_Rob Posted September 13, 2007 Author Posted September 13, 2007 Haven't heard of the Hulk or Daredevil before the movies came out?! Well, maybe I can understand the Daredevil. He wasn't as popular as some other heroes. But Hulk?! Come on man! He must have been referenced a zillion times in pop culture and what not! And my biggest gripe with the Daredevil was actually aimed more at the character of the Kingpin. In the comics, hes this huge, manipulating, bald white guy. In Daredevil, the Kingpin is transformed into some black boxer. The Kingpin was a great villain who was big in Daredevil and Punisher comics, and also crossed-over into others (I know he shook Spidey's web quite a few times). Needless to say, they took this awesome crime boss (he had no super powers, thus never went toe-to-toe with heroes...he was more of a behind-the-scenes guy who hired other to do his dirty work) and transformed into this buffed out guy who was capable of competing with Daredevil mano-a-mano. Didn't float in my book. Your feeble skills are no match for the power of the Dark Side! My Website http://fp.profiles.us.playstation.com/playstation/psn/pid/BigBadBob113.png
JediHunter Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 Haven't heard of the Hulk or Daredevil before the movies came out?!As sad as it is to say Rob... you gotta remember.. Comics are basically dead... well.. not dead.. but they are definately critically wounded... Tofu is only.. what?.. 17? now?.. he was born when comics were at their height yes, but they quickly fell from the height and by the time he was old enough to read and enjoy them they were just the hobby of die hard fans.. if even that.. same thing with baseball cards.. i doubt Tofu is old enough to even have collected baseball cards... probably more like Pokemon and YuGiOh or whatever.. no knock to you Tofu.. I'm just supposing here.. and I would be willing to bet if its not true for you, its definately true for your classmates.. "Duct tape is like the force. It has a light side, a dark side, and it holds the universe together."http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j34/akira9949/4297_image.jpg
SOCL Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 Tofu, you'd never heard of the Hulk? Dear God... I never read the comics, but I clearly remember the television series, which I think was leaps-and-bounds better than the movie. Mad78 Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 How is it possible you never heard of the Hulk!!! He is the modern Jekyll&Hyde!!!The problem with the Hulk movie was that it was far too serious. It should have been a little more light-hearted. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
DarthTex Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 (edited) I remember watching some of those on TV back in the day. They were quite cheesy by today's standard (well, OK they were cheesy no matter what ) and the "theme songs" were catchy. I wonder if they're somewhere on the net? The Marvel Superheroes (1966 TV Series) (added) (updated)The Mighty Thor theme song (updated) Fantastic Four (1967 TV series) & theme songSpider-Man (1967 TV series) & Catch 'em if you can EDIT: updated noted links Edited September 13, 2007 by DarthTex Finally, after years of hard work I am the Supreme Sith Warlord! Muwhahahaha!! What?? What do you mean "there's only two of us"?
SOCL Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 Cheesy? Well, I rather liked it. SOCL: Putting the BE in BEAK.Read the Forum Rules - Welcome the New Members - Rebellion Reloaded -
Defender_16 Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 I still think Spider Man was the best of the old ones. And dont forget, it was: http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h293/Defender_16/Spiderman-INCOLOR.jpg EDIT: Because text isnt working so great... INCOLOR
DarthTofu Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 Hulk was, to the best of my knowledge: A big green, muscley guy who broke things and wore purple boxers. And that was it. I'm sixteen, actually (Yeah, yeah, I'm young) and never was into collecting cards- I see too far into the future and say "They're just going to become unpopular." Others, however... Dear God, others, they wasted hundreds on those dumb cards... 12/14/07Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
Darth_Rob Posted September 14, 2007 Author Posted September 14, 2007 Others, however... Dear God, others, they wasted hundreds on those dumb cards... SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!! At least I collected decent games like Star Wars, Middle-Earth, and X-Files. None of that Magic or Pokemon (I think that was around at the time) or other pointless games. Mad78 Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 I must admit I used to collect Pokemon cards at one point. But let me reassure you! I have given it up for quite some time. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance

SOCL Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 Mad, you collected...Pokemon? Dear God... Never collected any cards and happy I didn't. I've only collected Jurassic Park toys, and those weren't for the purpose of collecting, but playing. I've calculated I have a small fortune of Jurassic Park toys now. Darth_Rob Posted September 17, 2007 Author Posted September 17, 2007 I saw Mr. Woodcock over the weekend. It was decent. If you like Billy Bob Thorton being a disgusting prick, its the movie for you. Mad78 Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 ***BUMP*** Today I got to see John Carpenter's CIgarette Burns. It is definitely one of the or even THE scariest movie i have ever seen! http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
Darth_Rob Posted September 30, 2007 Author Posted September 30, 2007 I got to see The Gameplan today, staring "The Rock". If you're a fan of his other movies, then check this out. It was very funny, yet heart-warming. I happen to think that he turned out to be a damned good actor. The only movie he was in that I hated was The Scorpion King, but everything after that was golden... Your feeble skills are no match for the power of the Dark Side! Mad78 Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 It was good but the real pity was that it had absolutely nothing to do with the game. But it was good action film. Eagle Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Yes, I can remember that movie. Just watching "King Arthur" with Keira Knigthley on TV. It´s a bit weird to see King Arthur as roman. Who cares at all?!
Mad78 Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Thats one of my mothers favorite movies. Its pretty fun and a nice change from normal Arthur movies. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
