It was inevitable if you ask me. Bush does what he wants.

The only question was when. The only question now is whether or not Hussein will leave Iraq.

I't was pretty obvious when Bush shipped I-don't-know-how-many tens of thousands of soldiers to the Gulf. Bush is doing pretty much waht he wants since 11/9. About Hussein, I think it'll be pretty much like Osama, he will drop out of sight.

Igor, that's not really a question, Hussein will not leave. He'll send all of his remaining soldiers to die pointlessly for him, but that's just the effect of every war.

Trejiuvanat, that's what I thought as well. They wouldn't have been

shipped there for no reason.

Who else heard, that Bin Laden was actually captured a few days ago ? I heard something on the news, only to have it demented by officials. Since then nothing has been out about that. If he's captured, he's sure to be 'questioned' this very moment about many things.

I've heard several times from Israeli media that Bin Laden is "close to being captured", but so far I haven't heard anything about him being captured.

Iraqi leadership rejected the expulsion of Saddam and his sons today, so expect Baghdad to be on fire tomorrow. In other news, there are reports that Republican Guard units are being issued chemical weapons...you know, the ones that Iraq said they don't have. :?

Ladies and gentlemen, people of all faiths and religions, I appeal to you to pray for the souls of ALL involved in this conflict. Whether or not it is right top go to war, or not, I think we can all agree that either way, there will be needless casualties. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those who we believe are fighting for what is right.

Considering the US has just dropped thousands of leaflets across southern Afghanistan appealling for help capturing Osama I think its very unlikely they have him.

And Untimely, the people who are saying the Rep guard have been issued nbc weapons are the same people who have been saying he has them all along so I'd take that with a pinch of salt. The only sure way of knowing now is if they actually use them. I'd be very surprised though if massive amounts weren't "found" after the country is secured.

We know that he has these wepons...everytime he denies it we find new stuff, so it is only a matter of time. Hussein will never leave the contry alive, he is willing to send others out to die for him, thats just the way he is. I believe that may inocent lives are going to be lost before this is all over with and that sometime Wednesday or Thursday Iraq is going to crazy on fire. This all sucks, every last bit of it. I am moving to Pluto. I don't like Hussein or BinLaden but war also sucks. I wish I could just enter a sphere of obliviousness sometimes, you know. I hate our world and love it at the same time :?

Um Dinochick no weapons of mass destruction have been found in Iraq since the inspections restarted, all there was were missiles which flew 20km more than the should, thats why most of the international community is opposed to it. I sympathise with the rest of what you said though.

I am glad you understand how I feel. Thank you. I wasnt refering to wepons of mass destruction specifically, just other weapons that they have said they didn't have and low-and-behold they do, is all.

I'd rather have the U.S. disarmed, their the ones with most weapons. I don't think what their point of entering a war against Iraq.

Iraq may or not have the weapons, that the U.S. calims they have. But the U.S have them to, and they have used them. I don't see their morale high ground on this. this Bush ultimatum, I saw somwehere that it was counter by the Iraqis asking Bush to abdicate. They don't have the muscle to back it, and Bush just like Saddam certainly won't do it.

I agree with you dinochick, I'd very much go to Pluto, or Coruscant or Corellia, and leave this place behind, but that would be a easy way out, to stand against this kind of stuff is what had made the human society evolve. What Germany did in WWII, did teach mankind a lesson, even if that wasn't the Germans goal.

Perhaps even after this crisis mankind might learn somethign useful.

WOW :!:

Trejiuvanat, are you actually comparing the US to Germany in World War 2 :?::?: I really don't think there is much comparison there.

Iraq may or not have the weapons, that the U.S. calims they have. But the U.S have them to, and they have used them.

Are you actually suggesting that the US have used biological and chemical weapons on the world before....because I really can't think of any time when we have. That is what we are looking for in Iraq. If they have them they may use them, not just on us, but on other countries as well. I think however that NO ONE (in the whole world) should be in possession of Biological, Chemical, or Nuclear weapons, for what my opinion is worth.

Ya Coruscant sounds nice to. :D What lesson do you think Germany taught the world in WW2 if I may ask :?: Not trying to be a smart a$$ just currious on your thought process.

As to your first point, I wasn't only referring to bio weapons, I was referring to Nuclear weapons, too. U.S. used them against Japan, when the war was already over. GErmany was in shambles, and the war of the Pacific certainly was going in favor of the U.S. (I know French used them in the SOuth Pacific,t o test them, and their effects on aquatic fauna has been very big, some claim that the fish is radioactive contamined.)

To the last point of Germany in WWII, I'll say that Germany, Hitler's Germany tried to impose a rule thorugh military power. Their methods favored discipline up to the most brutal levels, when GErmany was defeated so was that ideal too. The only Nazi government in history vanished, because of the impression left in the peoples minds. Nazi Germany was a symbols, an archetyp of all nazi governement, which could come to exist. When it died so did they all. This may sound a bit to philosophic, but any interpretation is so, interpretations is all that a person can add to the analisys of an event. Nazi GErmany went through hell to avoid all future hells, even if that wasn't their intentions. Hitler fought and was defeated, to avoid nationalsozialism from spreading in the world. I'm am not giving excuses for them, I'm only stating the consequences of thier loss, and what they left for mankind.

BTW, dinochick. I'm booking the next flight to Coruscant on the Princess of Sienar, don't miss the flight. It's the last one using the Ison Corridor. All other take two or three extra days. :D

I dunno, it's entirely possible he had nothing to do with it. But certainly it's not in the best taste. :(

It's quite possible that Saddam had nothing to do with 11/9, and he was happy about those events.

I'm sure there willbe lots of Americans painting murals of the Iraqi freedom campaign, eventually.
