    • Brilliant! If this is what we can expect, the movie's going to be great!

Personally I'd be pissed if I stood in the wrong place. They should give advance notice to people. I personally am going to wait until the movie has played a week or so and the excitement dies down a little. I am getting older and don't want to listen to a bunch of kids instead of the movie.-Grand Moff Conway

I'm with Paul on this. Despite Star Wars being a kids film, I want to enjoy it without the noisy company of children, so watch it when they are at school I will!

Well, if I can't get into the 12:01 am showing, I'll hit it later in the afternoon. There's nothing more annoying than getting into a theater and finding it filled with 12 year-olds!

History is on the move, Captain. Those who cannot keep up with it will be left behind, to watch from a distance. And those who stand in our way will not watch at all.

I'll hopefully will get to the pre-premiere, somewhere on the 16th or 17th instead of 19th of May. No annoying 12-year-olds there. :P

I can't say I had a problem finding a ticket for the midnight screening of AOTC, nor did I have a problem with...children. Then again, though, here where I live, there aren't as many Star Wars fans as, say, Nashville, which is an hour south of us, or Knoxville three hours east, or Memphis three hours west, or even Louisville 3.5 hours north in Kentucky. Most of the fans congregate there, so I find myself being able to show up at 10PM and get a ticket for a midnight screening in the local area theaters. I mean, when people can show up to see the midnight screening at 11PM, then you know you needn't worry about seating. Additionally, kids don't really go to the midnight screening unless there parents take them, and then the parents are probably hard-core fans who will throw their children in front of an eighteen-wheeler before they let them talk during one of the movies.

I was talking to my 501st garrison's recruiting officer, and he tells me that the Southern Outpost (our garrison) was invited for AOTC to attend a free screening in Nashville as long as they wore their costume and stood outside, welcoming people. Additionally, they got to keep movie posters and other such stuff, as well as get free drinks and foods, and then they got a private screening the next day! Then, not long after, they were invited to do the same, but this time it was LucasFilm that asked them to do it, and it was at an I-MAX theater (and yes, they got the free screening, too). Hopefully this year the same thing will happen. I've already started work on my costume (Death Star/fleet trooper, as this is the easiest to make and most functional for new recruits) and will hopefully have it ready in time for ROTS. :D

Sitting though the entire movie dressed as a Stormtrooper does require some imagination... :)

I suppose I hadn't thought of that....

By the way, GAT, I like your signature! :D Plus, it doesn't take forever to upload! :D

Glad you like it :D, it took me long enough to get the bloody layers to show up in ImageReady, and then even longer to get the bloody program to save it as a Gif. I'm glad it works too :D.

Note that he wears it athwart-ships, rather than fore and aft. Alas the latter was increasingly popular in the navy at that time. All of the young officers, with no respect of tradition!

Hmmm, it's still going for me. I know that sometimes the MSN Groups system messes up and freezes Gifs on their first frame. I'm not sure what causes this, but I used to have the same problem with my old one. It should resolve itself soon.

No gif-action for me GAT!

But maybe i'm doing as Nelson did, and looking through the telescope with my blind eye...

Hmm, disturbing this is. I'll see if I can fiddle around with it to get it working.

EDIT:Ok, can you see it now? If so, it all has to do with my being logged into my MSN account...

Thanks Mad. I'll go and re-upload the gif. I think it only shaved 8 pixels off the width anyhow

I am wondering why they always put Star Wars in quotations in that article? It's not as though it's some sort of code-name or nick-name for the series, nor the group of fans. Maybe CNN thinks that the movies take a second place to the once-proposed-now-renewed-to-some-degree Star Wars space defence?
I can only guess they treat it as a title, although they should really use double quotes in that case.

You've just provided Zoot with the right coordinates...

It looks like you sealed your fate with the Z_Cat. Better be more carefull.

Anyway, to answer an old question, the novel (no spoiler here) states that in Coruscant space was an Dreadnaught (pardon the spell, can't remenber the correct word now) and 3 Carrack-class cruisers ( my favorite imperial ship).

I will wait for the film to corfim my ideas.

"May the force be with the pizza guy. I want it in less that 30 mins or less."

You can kill me later, thank you.

I want you to join KoC.
