Yes i am in Switzerland and we get most of American shows such as Monk, ER, Charmed, Star Trek,... We even get a Australian show called Skithouse which I love but its on at around 12 on monday night so i rarely get to see it.

We can sometimes get them in English on swiss channels. The french never bother with bi-canals.

...delurking for a minute in the midst of trying to get caught up around here...

I like a bunch of shows, but here are my Top Three:

Due South. Comedy-drama about a Canadian Mountie who comes to work in Chicago.

Firefly. Um...I don't know how to explain it in just a couple of sentences, and any attempts on my part to do so will be a gross injustice to this awesome show.

Scrubs. Already mentioned.

Other ones I like (off the top of my head) are Third Watch, American Dreams, Pretender, Futurama, Early Edition, B5, A-Team, The Cape, 7 Days, etc. etc. etc.

-Thumper

TIE pilots shake at the sound of my name! ...Hey, wait! You're not supposed to be shaking with laughter!

Which way did they go? How many of them were there? How fast were they going? I must find them! I am their LEADER!

Have'nt watched TV in years except for the news and the odd interesting documentary. I used to love Red Dwarf ( except last series which was truly awful without Rimmer )and the Blackadder series though, they were excellent, as was the League of Gentlemen and Little Britain. Oh and I nearly forgot Phoenix Nights which is superb!!!!!
You have failed me for the last time.

Wow, Red Dwarf; that brings back memories. We don't really get to see that many British TV shows over here since all we get (unless you have satelite) is the BBC, which seems to be mostly news.

We also don't get Stargate Atlantis, but sicne my dad has satelite I've watched a few episodes. It's better than the original, but one thing miffed me a bit: why is the Canadain the bumbling idiot!?

I must also admit that I am addicted to the OC... can't remember if I mentioned this earlier, but I'll bring it up again if so. There is something about it I can't describe. I usually hate the soap-opera type shows, but this one is different.

History is on the move, Captain. Those who cannot keep up with it will be left behind, to watch from a distance. And those who stand in our way will not watch at all.

To dig up an old thread, are there any new series people have grown to like, or even love?

For me there's the new series Lost, though there's only been two episodes in Australia so far, it seems pretty good and has already established some characters and twists.

The other series is Jerramiah, an awesome plot driven series based on earth, in the not to distance future (around 20 years), after a disease has wiped out all adults in the world, and now the children that were around when this "Big Death" came through are rebuilding . . . sort of.

There are of course twists, one of which that just came up a few episodes ago that links a lot of episodes up (the type of episode that looks like its just to fill time, or another show for the season).

Paul, you are a good man,, I too have been watching this series ever its premiered on Sci-Fi.

Anyone who hasn't started yet, it's not too late, they have BSG "marathons" once in a while and show all the previous episodes ! :D

The series are so cool, I just can't decide why. Is it the grim view on a highly advanced human race, or just the cool science fiction mixed in with character development? I can't tell. One thing is for sure, it's got a nice arc, things make sense a lot more if you watch from the start!

Anyway, my favorite tv series...I dont know really. I used to like Seinfeld but I wouldnt call it my favorite. I guess if I had to pick a favorite I would say Family Guy.

The Cylon model Number 6 is played by former Victoria Secrets model Tricia Helfer. She is very sexy and highly intelligent as well. I think this weeks episode will be intense.-Grand Moff Conway

Family Guy, how could I forget! Love Family Guy, "There's an Evil Monkey living in my closet!"

Still waiting for Battlestar to start here

They tease us with the two movie length episodes and then pospone the REAL episodes for a week or two!

Damn you channel ten! Damn you! :P

I have already heard about the 70's serie. It got sued by Lucas. And didn't last long due to bad management.

Really, what did Lucas sue them for?

That makes no sense, Battlestar Galactica was out before Star Wars, no? :)

Besides, that wasn't the reason they stopped, they went through a full arc and they got poor viewer ratings so they stopped the show. It wasn't much of a story anyways, it was pretty much running away from the Cylons, fighting them, and so on, no reason for anything :).
