Jahled Posted December 4, 2002 Author Posted December 4, 2002 emmm.... I wonder if anyone in this little community knows enough about Rebellion's game files and some of these missing elements to figure out a way to put them back in the game, perhaps an executable-file. And if they are events that are activated by certain conditions that have eluded all of us all these years, perhaps a tweak to make them more common. Along a similar vein, it would be cool to expand the primary character's WAVE files to include some of those we're discovering using Resource Hacker. Don't know about you, but wouldn't it be cool to hear Leia say, 'would someone get this walking carpet out of my way,' instead of 'we've got to do better,' from time to time. We know the WAVE files are there. http://www.jahled.co.uk/smallmonkeywars.gif
the_mask Posted December 4, 2002 Posted December 4, 2002 She says the 'we've got to do better' line, when she fails in a (diplomatic)mission, about as often as 'that was a mess' (a little slurred though). But we should be able to replace these, no prob http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
Jahled Posted December 4, 2002 Author Posted December 4, 2002 Say, does anyone know when Luke/Han/Leia say 'I've got a bad feeling about this,' in the game? Or the force sensitive characters exclaiming, 'I sense somethin,' I can't seem to recall them saying it in any game i've played. Also, there's a hilarious Leia line: 'Put that away before you get us all killed,' followed by Chewie growling It would be great to unlock that in the game, I can't think of when it would occur though. http://www.jahled.co.uk/smallmonkeywars.gif
UntimelyDemise Posted December 4, 2002 Posted December 4, 2002 I've had Luke say the sensing thing once or twice, when Luke detected enemy Jedi, but only when I actually opened up the message (I usually scan through and see the result and don't really open up things...Luke Skywalker Mission Foiled, Imperial Star Destroyer deployed at Yavin, etc). A lot of the sounds are only when you open up messages. Knightcrawler Posted December 5, 2002 Posted December 5, 2002 Actually, you need to edit Expand2 (Aftermath), but I forget how. Hmmm... Hard to find a good RA site nowadays. Hello
ElvisMiggell Posted December 10, 2002 Posted December 10, 2002 So what eggs should we put in the tc? If possible? Elvismiggell. Strike me down and i will become more powerful than you can ever imagine... Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
Knightcrawler Posted December 10, 2002 Posted December 10, 2002 I think maybe things from other games. Like maybe Emkay from X-Wing: Alliance. Oh, maybe that's not an Easter Egg... Hmmmm... You could put Samus in there somewhere. You'd find her on a planet called Zebes, SR-11 (I know I got the number wrong), or Tallon IV that randomly appear. LOL Hello
the_mask Posted December 11, 2002 Posted December 11, 2002 Or that little, insane, white rabbit that has appeared in almost any Lucasarts game for a long time : Max ! Yep, we'll put Max or a picture of him somewhere. But you'll have to find where, when the Tc's finished http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
ElvisMiggell Posted December 12, 2002 Posted December 12, 2002 Yeah, Sam and Max ave to be in it. Would there be a way to make it some sort of advantage, so that if you managed to find both of them, you got some sort of bonus, like a fleet of nice ships or some new resources, or maybe finding both of them in a certain time limit could trigger a disaster on one of your opponents most built up worlds! Hehehe Elvismiggell. Strike me down and i will become more powerful than you can ever imagine... Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
the_mask Posted December 12, 2002 Posted December 12, 2002 Nope, sorry. That would be ripping the game engine apart and including these events and triggers. But I'll think of something, where I can hide the little bunny. http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
ElvisMiggell Posted December 12, 2002 Posted December 12, 2002 Oh well, do you think it's something Greg might be able to look at with Reb II? Elvismiggell. Strike me down and i will become more powerful than you can ever imagine... Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
Jahled Posted December 12, 2002 Author Posted December 12, 2002 This bunny you guys talk about, is it in the original Jedi Knight, if so where, and are you able to SHOOT it.....he he he http://www.jahled.co.uk/smallmonkeywars.gif
ElvisMiggell Posted December 12, 2002 Posted December 12, 2002 Sam and Max was an old roleplaying game, it might be in JK as an egg. There's a cartoon program of them on these days, can't remember what channel. It might be on BBC, in which case i doubt you can get it. Elvismiggell. UntimelyDemise Posted December 12, 2002 Posted December 12, 2002 Here it is, my friends...the Sam & Max egg from JK1...don't know about JK2 yet: http://www.eggheaven2000.com/detailed/278.html Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.--Napoleon Bonaparte I know that you believe that you understood what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.--Robert McCloskey, State Department spokesman Support the USA!

Guest JediIgor Posted January 2, 2003 Posted January 2, 2003 Raven, raven, raven.. They obviously forgot about the long-line tradition of including Sam & Max in the DF games.. tsk tsk
Tristar Posted January 2, 2003 Posted January 2, 2003 If you knew how much tiem it took me to read it from the beginning,,,heh lol What about htis tricks...i guess if you could put them on the web peopel who had them could send e-mails with conditions and requirments when they happen, isn't it true?
ElvisMiggell Posted January 2, 2003 Posted January 2, 2003 How do you mean tricks? Do you mean like spinning his saber when its turned off etc? Elvismiggell. Strike me down and i will become more powerful than you can ever imagine... Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
Tristar Posted January 2, 2003 Posted January 2, 2003 i meant .. about you putting those secret messages or pictures on the web.. like watch the thing and leave your comment... perhaps someone met them in the games.. so they could share their informaiton...? is it ok now?
Lord_La_forge Posted January 3, 2003 Posted January 3, 2003 I have found an egg. I think I did.I was playing the empire, and my brother the rebellion. He sent Solo to an espionage mission on Sedri, that was controlled by me.I didn't see him. Suddenly I checked that planet, and guess what!! On the officers screen (the screen where the main characters and commandos show up) was a unit named BOUNTY HUNTERS . It was a picture of Boba Fett and some other guys standing in a group. It appeared to be a unit just like the Imp Commandos. But I could not control them. I checked the skill of that unit, but all counters showed zero. On the next day, my brother got a message from Solo, that he had a a fight with the b hunters. The icon disappeared from my officer table....Did anyone saw them too
ElvisMiggell Posted January 3, 2003 Posted January 3, 2003 No, have to try looking for that one. Elvismiggell. Strike me down and i will become more powerful than you can ever imagine... Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
Trejiuvanat Posted January 3, 2003 Posted January 3, 2003 I've seen it couple of times. You can see it for a short time on planet wehre han is located, after you see it and it disappears, you get eitehr the message, Solo attacked by Bounty Hunters or BOunty Hunters locate SOlo. It depends ofn the side you're playing. The image is the same that is used for the ency-entry on bounty hunters.Stats will show zero and you wont be able to control it, I've always seen it in the mission screen and on the personnel screen. http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif
