It is sceduled for early 2005 (around Febuary) but I have begun to hear rumors they are trying to push it to a Christmas release at the end of this year.

ug if they do that i hope they dont screw the game up. I have to agree, u can beat the game on either Light or Dark side in KOTOR in every way possible i.e. all the quests, weapons, characters,etc....but not 3 races...classes....light and dark, doing all the quests...getting all the characters....be quite a feat IMO

KotR II doesn't really interest me, since it's pretty much KotR I with a few new items and a new story line. They should have updated the graphics a bit.

I don't know, there was a cartoonie feel to it. If they added some better lighting, shadows, and improved textureing it would be good.

The next KotR will use the same graphics engine. While using the same engine doesn't mean you'll have the same quality of graphics, it's a very good chance. I'll stick to my FPS ganes for now .

I like any star wars game that ive seen. I usually dont like racing, but I actually enjoyed podracer! THe high speed was cool. I haven't tried rebellion, but it sounds cool! Do you get to control like fleets of ships in that one? thats what I want, a game where its all about fleets and capital ships etc

Yes, that is what mainly Rebellion is about. It also combines the strategic elements of controlling and maintaining worlds. But, it does how a strong emphasis about fleets and capital ships, as you said. I recommend you try and locate a game, it's well worth it.

I actually avoid the planetary maintenance aspect of the game. I let IMP do all of the resourceing, and even the garrisons, and handle the rest. The man in command of your forces cannot be hindered by administrative duties.

It depends on what kind of mood I am in, as to whether I let the computer handle it or me. I must say though, I usually let the computer aswell...

I can never get the right balance of mines and refineries to make my resourcing effective... well that, and the fact that managing every planet that way gets very tedious. The same goes for garrisoning, though I usually manage Endor and Coruscan my self.

It's an MMORPG. It's simialr to KotR, though far bigger (hence the MMO ). I'd equate it more to Ever Quest than KotR. You collect items, credits, experience, choose a class, learn skills, etc. When I played the 14-day free trial (which is still available if you're interested) I found gameplay to be awkward and clumbsy. The controls are nonsensical and scattered and the HUD isn't very helpful. I'm sure it get's easier the longer you play it, which is the catch since you pay for your time, but most players want a game they can get the hange of early on and are challenged though gameplay, not the basics of the game. Also, despite the caracter customization, almost every one of the same race looks alike.

But the extension "Jumr to Lightspeed" which is going to come out is going to integrate space combat into the game. Awsome. Travelling will be like X-Wing Alliance.

Only if you have enough credits to buy your own ship. If not, you'll have to sell your landspeeder and buy passage to another planet.

I played it for a little over 6 months, mastered professions had millions of credits, tons of friends (including darky) but after that time, it gets to be the same. So, I just did not re-subscribe the next month. To answer your question, Barkoa, you will like it but do not expect your interest in it to last forever.

I think the subscription is $15.oo US per month, or you can buy a time card for around $40.00.

 

The one thing that really dissapointed me was tht I couldn't be an Imperial Officer or a Stormtooper.
