(sorry about my mistakes in this post, but I now learnig Eanglish language )
levelinc Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 Yea, I bought oryginal Homeworld2(in my country(poland) they sell 1.1version), installed it, next installed WARLORDS_45 wersion, and evrything works, I have no problems. So MOD will NOT work on NONORYGINAL Homeworld2.
Dreamslayer Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 Heya, i just wanted to start off with saying thnx for a great mod, ive played em before but i kinda lost interest for a while. But i felt like playing again so i downloaded the 0.45 and tried to play, but as with most others it halts after ~half of the bar. I checked the hw2.log file and this is where it failed for me: Starting Level: data:LevelData\Multiplayer\Deathmatch\ALDERAAN_GRAVEYARD.LEVEL EngineTrailStatic::getTweaks requesing index(0) that doesn't exist. SWR Staff - Executive Evaders99 Posted July 20, 2005 SWR Staff - Executive Posted July 20, 2005 Are you using the HW 1.1 Patch? Have your tried create a new player profile? Have you tried using other maps? Dreamslayer Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 Ok, it seems to work if i dont select Warlords 0.45 mode in the skirmish setup ... but not when i do ... And yes im running the 1.1 patch, and now ive successfully played for a couple of hours ... wierd tho that it should work when i havent chosen Warlords 0.45.
Frogzilla21 Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 Hm. Okay, I've been playing Warlords .45 for quite some time, and I saw that a Clone Wars mod had been made. However, the typical crash bug loading universe happens every time I make a P v. CPU game. I have the 1.1 update, and downloaded Clone Wars .91. My drivers are all brand new, as well. Does Clone Wars not work simply because Warlords is already on this computer? If not, how can I get it to work? Thank you for your help.
stormfury_2 Posted August 21, 2005 Posted August 21, 2005 Frogzilla in order to run both mods you must have them installed into FRESH or unmodded copies of the HW2 folder ie what i did was install HW2 and make 2 copies of it then i renamed the folders to 'Clone wars' and 'SWW' and installed the relavent mods into those directories and the installer then created shortcuts which are very handy indeed Hope this clears up your problem. Tom... No Archibald you cannot fly me home! Especially because that which you are sitting in is a tin foil covered, card board box.
Sairen Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 Hi all Warlords 0.45 works fine but i got some troubles with the clone wars mod... Well the clone wars mod works with Starting fleet facility and reinforcements, but if i use any of the other it will crash to desktop HW 1.1 reinstalled 3 times, no other mods installed.
stormfury_2 Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 To be honest Sairen i've never pld anything other than those games types so i'm not sure whether it's the release or a conflict within your machine i'd just stick to playing what works and wait until the full version is released to get full functionality. I will have a look into your problem though and post back. Tom... No Archibald you cannot fly me home! Especially because that which you are sitting in is a tin foil covered, card board box.
Sairen Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 Thanks stormfury If it doesnt work it's no problem.Warlords 0.45 still makes alot of fun
Sirocco Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 Okay, so I've installed Warlords and am running Homeworld 2 version 1.1, but whenever I try to run Warlords from the shortcut on the desktop I get to the loading screen and all. But about halfway through the status bar (load level) A box pops up saying that the Homeworld 2 disc isn't in the drive. I check, and it is very much in the drive, but Warlords doesn't recognize it. What gives? ~Resident Warlords Curmudgeon
stormfury_2 Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 Hmmm interesting. Now as always tradition holds and I must make sure you've done a re-install to make sure it's not just a simple error and so on. Now to guess at something more along the lines of what the problem may be. The thing that is most obvious to me is a drity/damaged disc, check for scratches and dirt and if there are any clearly visible blemishes I hear cleaning it with a soft cloth and brasso practically repairs the disc to an original state. Next I'd say it could be your actual CD-Drive not functioning correctly check for firmwaare updates or it could be a windows error but I doubt that. Hope this helps good luck. Tom... No Archibald you cannot fly me home! Especially because that which you are sitting in is a tin foil covered, card board box.
Sirocco Posted September 4, 2005 Posted September 4, 2005 Might having 261 MB RAM have something to do with it? ~Resident Warlords Curmudgeon
stormfury_2 Posted September 4, 2005 Posted September 4, 2005 Not with the disc recognition nope RAM wont play a part in that fact. Did you re-install HW2 from scratch etc? It could be just a bad installation. No Archibald you cannot fly me home! Especially because that which you are sitting in is a tin foil covered, card board box.
Sirocco Posted September 4, 2005 Posted September 4, 2005 Hm, well, I have seen improvement in this over the past few days, God knows why. Now it only happens occasionally when I save a game. Other than that, I'm fine. My main issue remains that the game just quits randomly, and that's 'cause of RAM. I might try a re-install at some point, though. EDIT: Did the re-isntall. The thing loads a bit faster, but the 'no disc in drive' issue remains. The disc isn't scratched at all, since it's new, but my cd drive is about four years old. Haven't had any problems with it before, though. ~Resident Warlords Curmudgeon
legendx Posted September 10, 2005 Posted September 10, 2005 I installed clonewars .91 first and tried to get a game started and it crashed during loading, specifically when loading universe. I uninstalled that and installed warlords .45 and the same thing happens. I have installed the 1.1 homeworld 2 patch and created a new profile for every test. Warlords installed a link on my desktop called Warlords SP test and that starts up fine. It loads everything and I can actually watch the star destroyer attacking the two frigates... I've reinstalled everything and nothing seems to work!! legendx Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 correct, Single Player and Player vs CPU skirmashes on every map all crash when loading universe.
World_Devistator Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Hi I recently tryed runing Warlords v.45 last week and as soon as the loaing bar got to "Universe" the game froze and then after a few min. it crashed. I reinsatled Homeworld 2 and redownloaded the 1.1 patch and reinstalled it. I then redownloaded Warlords v.45. This was all after I updated my video card drivers. After each new install I restarted my PC. When I loaded Warlords and started a Person v. Computer using emprire and Rebels the same thing happened. I reboted and tryed the single player campain. Same thing happened. What am I doing wrong? I am a huge Star Wars fan and have since v.28 been dying to play, but I could never get v.28 to run but that was a year or so ago. Any help you can give me would be greatly appriceated.
Logan882 Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 Hello, i just came across the Warlords mod .45 a few days ago and i must say it looks awesome. But, when i DLed it and installed it, the program created two shortcuts on my desktop, the problem is that when i click on the shortcuts it says that it is looking for the HOMEWORLD2.EXE file. When i set the path to that, the shortcut just opens the Regular Homeworld 2... is there something im doing wrong? I have the 1.1 patch, and all my drivers are up to date. If anyone can help me with this problem i would be greatful.

SWR Staff - Executive Evaders99 Posted September 30, 2005 SWR Staff - Executive Posted September 30, 2005 If the shortcut wasn't right, then perhaps the big file was not installed into the correct directory. Check and make sure you have warlords0.45.Big inD:\Program Files\Sierra\Homeworld2\Homeworld2\Data Evaders99http://swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif Webmasterhttp://swrebellion.com/images/banners/swcicuserbar.png Administrator Fighting is terrible, but not as terrible as losing the will to fight.- SW:Rebellion Network - Evaders Squadron Coding -The cake is a lie.
Logan882 Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 Yes there is a warlords0.45.Big file in there. I figured out the problem, i wasnt patient enough to let it find the right fil, though it did take about 10 minutes on my computer, but it seems to be working, Thanks a ton for taking the time to help Evaders99.
