This has never happened to me before (unbelievable, since I've been playing for so long), but I had a natural disaster at Coruscant about day 30!

Talk about a bummer...I still have to sit on that crap planet and defend it, with nothing there...a couple of mines and refineries are all that survived. I feel like the Rebels, sitting on a system that can't build anything, has no shields, just crap!

:x I feel like building a DS and blowing Coruscant up...

BTW, I did that a week or two ago...It's kinda funny! :D

I know what you feel, Ultimely, stupid natural disasters are the worst thing that could happen, especially in COruscant. Once two I had to suffer two of those disasters on COruscant, not the best of days, I decided to move everything out of the planet and let the rebels have it. I bombarded it so it coul turn red, most of the sector was already red so I gave it to them and focused one my future glorious return to COruscant: the only Core planet with one free energy...

I think I will do the same...the Rebs have to have Coruscant, so I will give it to them...of course, I won't allow them to build any shields there, so I can take it back easily when I return! :D

The time they got it they built one shield and stationes several troops. Before I returned I had continuos espionage missions there. Corscant gives a lot more intel about other systems. SO I got rid of an useles palnet and got good Intel for that....

That's the thing about the disasters, they do make the game a little more difficult, annoying, and perhaps realistic. But then stop and think. A disaster that could take out all the mining ability of a planet would destroy that planet, everyone on it would die, and it would be uninhabitable. Which is not what happens in the game. So if you weant to be realistic to the idea of a disaster that kills all your mines on a planet, i say blow up the fricking planet!!! Yay, more glorious death and destruction, and then you get the morale reaction you would expect to get from a disaster of that magnitude. ;)

I wonder if Resource Hacker can get rid of these frustrating and agonizing events? Emmm......

We had a conversation about that in the semi-old forums...if it's in a .dll, nobody can decipher the code.

BTW, Elvis...that's absolutely an evil idea!! I love it!

Unfortunately you can't do it to Coruscant without losing the game.

I once destroyed Coruscant, just for the fun of it.

I didn't have to worry about the Rebels capturing it.

The implications of what you said have just occured to me! If you blow up Coruscant there's nothing for the rebels to capture, as far as the winning conditions are concerned. Does this mean they can never win the game?

Well it surely is something the Emperor would do to prevent the Rebels to have his planet. He might also have some anti-grav pads under the Imperial Palace to evacuate it. Capitols can be set up everywhere and it's a big galaxy

I don't think he'd worry about the Palace...anybody that can build Death Stars and Super Star Destoyers can probably rebuild a Palace! 8)

And I don't think he would give a crap about any of the citizens of Imperial Center, either.

Hm..sure thing. Palpatine won't risk his own success just because of the people on Coruscant. He has nothing important down there. Or... Hey, has Palpatine got a wife? Perhaps?
