Nebulon-B Frigate

From Star Wars: Rebellion Wiki Original 1.02 & 25th Anniversary

Nebulon-B Frigate is an Alliance capital ship in Star Wars: Rebellion. The in-game encyclopedia gives the Nebulon-B frigate's length as 300 meters and says it was first designed to fight starfighters. It carries more weapons than most ships of its class. It can also hold two squadrons of fighters, which the text says makes it a superior vessel.

In the game

The Nebulon-B Frigate costs 34 refined material to build and 35 to maintain. It has a fighter capacity of 2 and a troop capacity of 0. Its shield strength is 300.

The infobox values come from the game's data file. Ratings such as hyperdrive and maneuverability are internal numbers that the manual does not explain, so they are best used to compare ships.

The manual notes that the Nebulon-B frigate is effective against fighters. The manual's ship table gives the same capacity: 2 fighters and 0 troops.

25th Anniversary patch

The Nebulon-B Frigate is an EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate built by Kuat Drive Yards and flown by the Rebel Alliance in escort, medical and other support duties.

Kuat Drive Yards originally built these frigates for the Imperial Navy, and they gained a reputation for versatility and toughness. Following the Battle of Yavin and the loss of the Death Star, a number of Nebulon-Bs were seized or came over to the Rebel Alliance, becoming important assets there. They could serve as escorts, as medical ships and in other jobs, which made them highly useful. Their long, slender profile became familiar, and their involvement in many pivotal engagements gave them a notable place in the naval side of the Galactic Civil War.
