MC80 Liberty Cruiser

The MC80 Liberty Cruiser is an MC80 Liberty type heavy star cruiser built by Mon Calamari Shipyards for the Rebel Alliance, where it serves as one of the main capital ships of the fleet.

History

Mon Cala, a world famous for its skill at shipbuilding, only recently produced these cruisers, and they are quickly becoming a mainstay of the Rebel Alliance fleet. They began as civilian star liners and were converted into warships, reflecting the Mon Calamari determination to oppose the Galactic Empire. Individualized design is the Mon Calamari way, so no two MC80s are identical. Having fought in the Galactic Civil War, notably in several recent decisive clashes, they stand as emblems of hope and defiance against Imperial tyranny, and they inspire admiration across the galaxy.

In the game

The patch gives the ship a new name and identity but keeps it in the same game slot. A field-by-field comparison of the patch data with the original game data finds no stat differences. It costs, fights, carries and moves exactly like the original ship, so everything in the Mon Calamari Cruiser article's Stats section applies here too.
