Liberator Cruiser

From Star Wars: Rebellion Wiki Original 1.02 & 25th Anniversary

Liberator Cruiser is an Alliance capital ship in Star Wars: Rebellion. The in-game encyclopedia says the SoroSuub Liberator has a slender hull that hides room for three troop regiments and six fighter squadrons. It is small for a capital ship, yet carries a strong set of ion cannons and heavy turbolaser batteries. Its up-to-date armor, shielding and drives lead the text to place it among the most advanced warships anywhere.

In the game

The Liberator Cruiser costs 66 refined material to build and 55 to maintain. It has a fighter capacity of 6 and a troop capacity of 3. Its shield strength is 600.

The infobox values come from the game's data file. Ratings such as hyperdrive and maneuverability are internal numbers that the manual does not explain, so they are best used to compare ships.

The manual's ship table gives the same capacity: 6 fighters and 3 troops. It also describes the ship as one of the most advanced warships.

25th Anniversary patch

The Liberator Cruiser is a Liberator-class cruiser built by SoroSuub Corporation and flown by the Rebel Alliance in direct combat, escort and fleet support roles.

Among the Rebel Alliance's ranks this class of cruiser rose to real prominence. It was valued for pairing speed with strong weapons, and it could take on many tasks, whether fighting Imperial forces directly or escorting and backing up other Alliance ships. That flexibility made it a worthwhile addition to the Rebel fleet, notably as strategy changed after the Death Star was destroyed and the Alliance turned increasingly to adaptable, multi-purpose vessels in order to contest the Galactic Empire's mastery of space warfare.
