Abregado-rae
Abregado-rae is a temperate planet of hills, lakes, mountains and rivers, home to native Gado and Moochers among many species. Its economy centers on food and technology, and its busy spaceports are well known.
Abregado-rae is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Vagran.
History
Abregado-rae, known for its busy spaceports and thriving criminal underworld, experienced major upheaval. A hub of trade and illicit dealings, it saw its economy and society disrupted by the vacuum of authority that followed. Criminal organizations, insurgents and other factions competed for control, producing a time of instability and violence in which many local warlords and crime syndicates rose and fell. Residents lived amid constant change as alliances moved and opportunists sought to profit from the chaos. Even so, the spaceports stayed vital transit points for travelers heading between the galaxy's distant regions.
In the game
In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Deep Core sector; the original game calls it the Corellian sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
