Keitum
Keitum is a modest planet about which little is recorded, with no listed species or economy. It sits quietly away from the major centers of galactic affairs.
Keitum is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Basilisk.
History
Keitum was largely untouched by recent events. A modest, unremarkable world, it stayed far from the galaxy's major conflicts and so went on shaping its own culture, politics and customs. Its society flourished, with inhabitants living in comparative peace and harmony. Escaping the notice of the great powers, the world was free to concentrate on its own growth and prosperity, and as the galaxy shifted around it, Keitum stood as an example of stability and self-reliance.
In the game
In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Mid Rim North sector; the original game calls it the Moddell sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
