Immobilizer Cruiser

The Immobilizer Cruiser is the Immobilizer 418, a cruiser built by Sienar Fleet Systems for the Galactic Empire and nicknamed the Interdictor for its hyperspace-blocking gravity well projectors.

History

Called the Interdictor in everyday speech, this ship earned notoriety because it could project artificial gravity wells that block hyperspace travel nearby. The Immobilizer 418 had a vital part in Imperial strategy, especially after the Death Star was destroyed. It helped catch Rebel ships by stopping them from fleeing or from receiving reinforcements through hyperspace, which made it a major tool for blockades and ambushes. Introducing the technology changed how space battles worked and demonstrated the Empire's steady stream of military innovation.

In the game

The patch gives the slot a new name and identity but keeps its stats: a field-by-field comparison with the original game data finds no differences. Everything in the Interdictor Cruiser article's stats applies here too.
