Wobani

From Star Wars: Rebellion Wiki 25th Anniversary patch

Wobani is a temperate world of hills, mud plains and rock formations. It has no listed native species or notable trade, and is known chiefly as a place of confinement.

Wobani is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Oetrago.

History

Wobani stays under Imperial control, since the Galactic Empire kept a heavy presence in its region. The world remained a site of forced labor and imprisonment, its labor camps notorious for appalling conditions and the despair of the prisoners. Although the Rebel Alliance rose and unrest spread through the galaxy, the Empire kept hold of the planet. Its history in this era is one of suffering and oppression, with detainees working under the eyes of their Imperial guards.

In the game

In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Crossroads sector; the original game calls it the Mayagil sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
