Tython

Tython is a temperate planet of forests, grasslands and mountains, with Flesh Raiders among its native inhabitants. It is an ancient world associated with the origins of the Force.

Tython is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Corellia.

History

Tython kept its status as a mystical and very old world tied to the beginnings of the Force. Ruins of old temples there drew scholars and Force-sensitive people. Its remoteness and mystery kept it largely clear of the broader galactic war, leaving the remnants of its past undisturbed. Although the Death Star's destruction changed the galaxy considerably, Tython remained a symbolic bastion for the Force's earliest origins and a lasting witness to its history.

In the game

In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Deep Core sector; the original game calls it the Corellian sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
