Terminus
Terminus is a heavily urbanized planet on the frontier of known space, with an economy built largely on piracy. Its position draws criminals and traders alike.
Terminus is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Nal Hutta.
History
Terminus, on the frontier of known space, saw a rise in activity. Its position made it useful to people dodging the authorities and a base for varied underworld dealings. Upheaval from the continuing conflict increased smuggling, bounty hunting and other illegal work there. The local government tried to keep order but could not cope with the flood of criminals. Even so, Terminus stayed a significant crossroads for lawful traders and marginal figures alike, offering shelter and opportunity in a troubled galaxy.
In the game
In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Western Reaches sector; the original game calls it the Kanchen sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
