Takodana

Takodana is a temperate planet of lakes, seas, plains and forests, populated by Artiodacs, Frigosians, Humans, Kyuzo and Volpai. It is a well-known meeting place for travelers and traders.

Takodana is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Tokmia.

History

Takodana stayed a favored gathering point for travelers, merchants and pirates from every part of the galaxy. Its strategic position and green forests kept drawing a varied crowd, making it a busy center of trade and bargaining. The notorious watering hole in Maz Kanata's castle continued as a meeting place for factions and individuals looking for shelter or doing business. Though the Empire and the Rebel Alliance were at war, Takodana held neutral ground, which preserved some degree of steadiness and self-rule in an unsettled galaxy.

In the game

In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Outer Rim West sector; the original game calls it the Churba sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
