Taanab (25th Anniversary patch)

Taanab is a mild agricultural world of fields and waterways, home to Humans along with bantha, staga, roba and nerf herds, and exporting fertilizers, machine parts, pesticides and food.

Taanab is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Wor Tandell.

History

Taanab's people kept their peaceful farming society going even as the Empire and the Rebel Alliance fought. The planet's farming skill earned it a name as a dependable supplier of top-quality produce, which strengthened its economy. Residents took pride in their agricultural heritage and kept devising new methods to raise yields. Although the world stayed fairly sheltered from the larger conflict, its inhabitants kept watching how power shifted between Imperials and Rebels.

In the game

In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Colonies sector; the original game calls it the Dolomar sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
