Ryloth (25th Anniversary patch)

Ryloth is a hot, humid world of dense jungle, mesas, valleys and volcanoes, home to the native Twi'lek and to Humans. Its trade includes doonium, ryll, spice and slaves.

Ryloth is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Kimanan.

History

Ryloth still struggles with the effects of its turbulent past. Its native Twi'lek had long suffered under oppressive rulers, among them the Hutt Cartel and the Galactic Empire. After the decisive battle, resistance and rebel activity against Imperial rule increased. Local freedom fighters, led by figures such as Cham Syndulla, tried to free the planet from Imperial control, which set off many skirmishes and uprisings. In this period the world's story is shaped by its people's endurance and their drive for self-determination despite ongoing hardship.

In the game

In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Bothan Space sector; the original game calls it the Orus sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
