Ossus
Ossus is a temperate world of hills, forests, mountains and caves, inhabited by the native Ysanna. Its economy centres on technology, and its ruins hold a long Jedi history.
Ossus is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Khomm.
History
Ossus remains a mysterious world. It was once a flourishing seat of Jedi learning, but now lies in ruins and its great libraries and old lore have been lost. A cataclysm that ravaged the planet leaves an enduring air of peril, so few visit. Yet its past importance to the Jedi makes it attractive to anyone hoping to recover Force secrets. The Empire keeps watch over Ossus, wary of any effort to revive the Jedi legacy buried among the ruins.
In the game
In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Outer Rim East sector; the original game calls it the Farfin sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
