Moraband
Moraband is a hot, desolate, mountainous world, the native home of the Sith, also inhabited by Hssiss, Humans, Rakata, Theelin, Tuk'ata and Wraid. Its economy covers food, high technology, raw materials, weapons and Sith artifacts.
Moraband is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Geedon V.
History
Moraband, the ancient homeworld of the Sith also called Korriban, stayed wrapped in secrecy and gloom. Once the seat of Sith power and learning, it was a barren, unwelcoming planet. Since the Sith were thought to be gone, nobody paid it much attention. Ruins and old temples lay scattered about, yet few people risked the trip to hunt for lost artifacts or knowledge. While the Empire was suffering setbacks, the planet counted for very little in the wider war, its secrets still buried across the bleak terrain as a reminder of a long-vanished dark age.
In the game
In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Sith Worlds sector; the original game calls it the Sumitra sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
