Makeb
Makeb is a world of stone pillars, mesas and plateaus inhabited by Humans, Twi'leks, Zabraks, Chagrians, Weequay and others. Its economy draws on minerals and isotope-5.
Makeb is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Umgul.
History
Makeb was largely untouched by the events around it. Its people concentrated on staying independent and neutral while building a flourishing society. Advanced technology, especially in medicine and engineering, helped the world construct a robust, self-reliant infrastructure. It grew into an increasingly prominent centre of trade and learning, which drew interest from several factions. Although war engulfed the wider galaxy, the citizens chose to stay impartial and mind their own affairs, which kept their world stable and prosperous.
In the game
In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Inner Rim sector; the original game calls it the Sluis sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
