Kijimi
Kijimi is a frigid, mountainous world inhabited by Humans, Anzellans and Boosodians, with a long reputation as a refuge for criminals and outlaws seeking to avoid the authorities.
Kijimi is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Chalcedon.
History
Kijimi remained a refuge for criminals and outlaws. Its severe climate and mountains gave natural cover to people evading the authorities. In these years its best-known district, the Thieves' Quarter, flourished as a center of underworld business, drawing factions and individuals wanting to deal illegally. Although the Rebellion and the Empire both became more visible there, Kijimi stayed a sanctuary for people working outside the law, adding to its complicated, changing history.
In the game
In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Crossroads sector; the original game calls it the Mayagil sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
