Formos

Formos is a planet inhabited by many native species, known as a gathering place for outlaws, smugglers and others from the galaxy's underworld.

Formos is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Kiffex.

History

Formos remained a refuge for outlaws, smugglers and other underworld figures. The turbulent era offered many openings for those ready to profit from disorder, and the world became a leading site for illegal trade and black markets. Despite that name, it also helped move information and supplies between factions, because its people held useful knowledge and contacts. Formos thus held an unusual place in the galaxy, both as a criminal center and as a channel for information important to the struggle against the Empire.

In the game

In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Hutt Space sector; the original game calls it the Jospro sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
