Eadu
Eadu is a stormy, rocky planet with a treacherous landscape, best known as the location of an Imperial research installation devoted to advanced weapons development.
Eadu is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Trogan.
History
Eadu's storms and dangerous terrain surrounded an Imperial facility where advanced weapons were researched. Once the Death Star was lost, the Empire hurried to regain its footing and keep hold of its dispersed assets, the Eadu laboratory among them. Despite tighter security, the site became the object of repeated clashes and spying missions by the Rebel Alliance, which wanted to hinder Imperial attempts to rebuild the dreaded weapon. Eadu consequently received more troops and fortifications and saw covert operations happen more often. At the same time its native people suffered heavier oppression and exploitation as Imperial control tightened.
In the game
In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Hutt Space sector; the original game calls it the Jospro sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
