Delaya (25th Anniversary patch)

Delaya is a temperate world of forests and large oceans, home to a Human population and a dense spread of cities packed with factories, warehouses and homes.

Delaya is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Kamparas.

History

Delaya is the sole planet in the Alderaan system that still supports living beings. After the Death Star destroyed Alderaan, the debris field left behind came to be called the Graveyard. Survivors who were displaced moved to Delaya, and the arrival of so many refugees swelled the population and put pressure on local resources. Delayans labored to rebuild their communities and shape a new life following their neighbor's destruction. Alderaan had shifted much of its industry onto Delaya, which therefore held a large population and many urban districts of factories, warehouses and housing.

In the game

In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Colonies sector; the original game calls it the Dolomar sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
