Corsin (25th Anniversary patch)
Corsin is a planet in Mandalorian Space where Rakata, Humans and other peoples live, with an economy built on metals and food. Its location gives it notable strategic value.
Corsin is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Morvogodine.
History
Corsin went through a turbulent stretch when the Galactic Empire sent troops to crush dissent and restore its authority. Fighting broke out repeatedly with local resistance groups opposed to Imperial rule. The world became a place where different factions formed alliances, and its strategic position interested the Empire and the young Rebel Alliance alike, sharpening the contest for control. The inhabitants proved resilient and inventive, surviving the hardships and aiding the wider struggle against the Empire. After the Death Star was destroyed, the planet's story was defined by conflict, endurance and a will to resist tyranny.
In the game
In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Mandalorian Space sector; the original game calls it the Calaron sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
