Circumtore

Circumtore is a ring-shaped artificial planetoid inhabited by native Shell Hutts. No economy or other details are recorded for it, and its unusual constructed form sets it apart from ordinary worlds.

Circumtore is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Lafra.

History

Circumtore became an important place for survivors and refugees fleeing the fighting between the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire. Its government tried to remain neutral but came under growing pressure from both sides. Secret Rebel cells began working on the surface, while the Empire tried to establish a presence to suppress any uprising. As each side competed for control, skirmishes and espionage increased, and the turbulent years shifted political loyalties and reshaped the balance of power and influence on the world.

In the game

In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Bothan Space sector; the original game calls it the Orus sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
