Chandrila (25th Anniversary patch)
Chandrila is a Core World of rolling hills and calm seas, home to humans, Mon Calamari, Pantorans, Rodians, Trandoshans, Twi'lek and Jawas, with an economy based on high technology and food.
Chandrila is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Averam.
History
Chandrila, admired for its scenery and tranquil landscapes, was the birthplace of Mon Mothma, a leading figure of the Rebel Alliance. As the Alliance worked to topple a tyrannical regime, the planet came to symbolize hope and resistance. Its capital, Hanna City, held significant diplomatic gatherings that influenced the galaxy's course. Chandrila also housed the New Republic's government for a time, which gave it substantial political weight. Though enemy forces attacked it, its people stayed committed to peace and democracy.
In the game
In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Core Worlds North sector; the original game calls it the Sesswenna sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
