Cato Neimoidia
Cato Neimoidia is a Neimoidian world of acidic oceans, canyons, cliffs, grasslands, forests and rock arches, trading in labor, ore, raw materials, luxury goods, droids, food and technology.
Cato Neimoidia is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Omwat.
History
Cato Neimoidia was once a rich world famed for lavish cities and grand architecture, but its political and social standing shifted. The Neimoidians, influential in the Trade Federation, lost power as that body fell apart. When the Confederacy of Independent Systems collapsed, the planet's importance in galactic affairs shrank. Under Imperial rule the economy stagnated because tight Imperial control choked commerce and trade. Growing discontent among the people produced many resistance groups hoping to bring back the world's earlier standing; they worked in secret to weaken Imperial authority and shift the balance of power.
In the game
In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Colonies sector; the original game calls it the Dolomar sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
