Bith
Bith is a world of mountains, jungle and swamp, native to the Bith and Y-bith, with an economy of technology, medicine, cybernetic implants, trade and art.
Bith is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Algarian.
History
Bith, home to a very intelligent and inventive species, went through major developments. Staying neutral, it made use of its people's natural gifts and became a center for music, art and science. The inhabitants, noted for advanced technology and engineering skill, helped rebuild and renew the galaxy, and had an important part in creating advanced sensor technology that improved starships. This era of progress came with more interstellar trade, cultural exchange and diplomacy, cementing Bith's name as an important participant in galactic affairs.
In the game
In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Outer Rim South sector; the original game calls it the Dufilvan sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
