Anoat (25th Anniversary patch)

From Star Wars: Rebellion Wiki 25th Anniversary patch

Anoat is a polluted, toxic and heavily built-up world inhabited by Humans and Ugnaughts. Its economy produces food, raw materials and industrial goods.

Anoat is a star system in the 25th Anniversary patch 3.0.9770. It takes the slot that the original game gives to Munto Codru.

History

Anoat, formerly a prosperous mining center, faced serious difficulties. The Empire enforced a strict blockade called the Iron Blockade, which severed communication and commerce, isolating it from every other part of the galaxy. The aim was to head off possible rebellions, but it unintentionally helped criminal factions rise and further unsettled the region. Smugglers, mercenaries and other resourceful people got past the blockade and kept working, feeding a growing black market. Desperate residents formed a loose alliance against Imperial rule, but splits among factions weakened it. Tension grew as the Empire clamped down harder, and Anoat's future stayed uncertain.

In the game

In the patch's default ("compatible") galaxy the system keeps its slot's sector and map position. The patch calls its sector the Western Reaches sector; the original game calls it the Kanchen sector. The patch also has an optional "accurate" galaxy that changes map positions only.
