Recruitment

Featured Replies

 Just few simple ideas, tests:

 I checked the recruitment box for rebels on each minor character. The game didn't crash, my only characters were palpy and Vader. I send them to recruitment missions, but as there was no other imp agent, all rec. missions failed. The rebels could recruit the imperial agents, and had the key staff (Ozzel, Veers, Jerjerrod, Piett) at the beginning.

 I tried this on the imperial side too, and it works the same way ...

I don't think the probality would be different then.

I don't think there's a preset amount of possible Jedis in the game. The game seems to decide the probality on the percentage shown in RebEd's Jedi probability slot (the one above the Jedi level).

So, that means, it can happen, that no jedis will be found in a game??

Yes. I've gone several lengthy games without discovering a single jedi. It happens. There is no fixed number for how many jedi must be present in a given game; it's all luck of the draw. Most minor characters have about a 10% chance of being force sensitive. Some have slightly higher probabilities.

I t can happen. But were you able to recruit all the minor characters?

I tried this sometime ago, to answer you question, no, when that happens, you go up to 30 characters, then you get
recruitment done
message. sadly you can't get up to 60 characters, mabey if Rebed had the
Have at start
option for them.

Sadly, yes, you can only go up to 30, but the other side won't have any charaicters, besides majors. like Chewbacca will be on the empire's side, or Jerjerrod on the alliance.

Well, when I was just a wee lad, Oh I mean, I long long time ago, when I just started editing rebellion, there was this editor, that had a feature, that made it so you have them at the start of the game. that might do it but beside it and hacking in the core of rebellion, no theres no other way.

If you could find that editor, we would be VERY appreciative!!!

You can have a maximum of 30 chars on each side, it seems to be hard coded into the game. :(

Hmm.. doesn't seem to work for me. There is an 'Available At Start of Game' option, but it never seems to apply. You save, close window, and reload it, the settings don't save.

Fighting is terrible, but not as terrible as losing the will to fight.

The cake is a lie.

Cool, have to test it out. It might be a trtainer style thing, in which case you'd have to have it open whilst playing the game, and may well not save changes. :)

:!: EVADERS. WE HAVE NEW MATERIAL FOR NEWS!

The editor posted by Kaja is not known before here!!! It's NOT SWRE.

Dig it? A new editor for Rebellion!!! It was created in 2001 by a guy calls himself Zordrack.

I looked at it. It's like rebed, but more simple. It can't edit so much things, but has some abilities that I didn't see in Rebed.

There is an AI value, you can set it by Capital ships and troops. You can also define it for fighter, but the value is 0 for default.

There is a value called Health for agents. However, I couldn't change it. There is also a checkbox called : Available at Start of the Game. I'm not sure what it means (for exp.: Pellaeon is also checked as default...)

That's not much, but certainly great to have! Thanks Kaja!!

And if you have some infos about other editors, tell us!
