July 27, 200521 yr I've written newsletters before, and they're no walk in the park. I'm sure there would be plenty of ideas submitted by everyone, but isn't that what the forums are for? Newsletters are good for long detailed stories/descriptions, etc. that would normally be considered too long for a forum post. You might get a couple of articles to get started, but keeping it going on a regular basis would definitely be work. Of course electronic newsletters don't have to suffer as bad as hardcopy newsletters (dead space is BAD!) Finally, after years of hard work I am the Supreme Sith Warlord! Muwhahahaha!! What?? What do you mean "there's only two of us"?
July 27, 200521 yr A newsletter would be kinda cool, though like DT said: hard to put together. Perhaps a monthly letter, that contains a large variety of topics - from SW related (game, movie, trivia etc. ) to interesting stuff happening in different countries? http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://img152.imageshack.us/img152/1333/3dartistbanneranimationws1.gifhttp://img154.imageshack.us/img154/4026/rebellionbannerdi2.gif
July 27, 200521 yr Interessting ideas. And also maybe a list of new models submitted during the month. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
July 29, 200521 yr Interessting ideas. And also maybe a list of new models submitted during the month. Keeping things simple (for the author) this sounds the most practical option; a round up of new additions available for download, not just for our Rebellion but for Eville Jedi's Warlords stuff as well. This would cater for a wide scope of interest and only generate more activity and involvement for the site. The 'author,' because no one can expect Evaders or the immediate crew to take this responsibility, would then have to be able to communicate with developments as Evaders gets them (concerning Rebellion) AND Eville for the Homeworld stuff. This is just an idea for someone else. http://www.jahled.co.uk/smallmonkeywars.gif
July 29, 200521 yr The concept could be widened even further by getting Cain and any EaW news in on it. I've just remembered i've got a signature!
July 29, 200521 yr The concept could be widened even further by getting Cain and any EaW news in on it. Why? The newsleter would be for stuff that's actually being done for Rebellion or Homeworld, as opposed to a game none of us have actually played because it's not out untill 2006 at the least. Be practical. Cain knows as much as the general public as far as EaW goes. http://www.jahled.co.uk/smallmonkeywars.gif
