October 14, 200323 yr Yep, that's my guess. All that genetic tampering can't be too good for their chances

October 14, 200323 yr The thing with the Khommite civilization was that they did not enhance their civilization, instead each new generation was an exact copy of the generation before. Dorsk 80 might have been Force-sensitive, but in Khomm he may have not been detected by Jedi, and only Dorsk 81 was. (And later Dorsk 82). http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif
October 14, 200323 yr In what book is Dosk 82 found to be force sensitive? Elvismiggell. Strike me down and i will become more powerful than you can ever imagine... Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
October 15, 200323 yr Good question. I can't remember what book he (82) appeared, and I think he only appeared once. The context of it as I remember it is that he was already at the Academy, among the next generation of Jedi after that group comprising 81 and Kyp before. I don't think they gave him much attention in that story at all...it was more a kind of blurb, but that blurb gives an interesting insight to that family line. And good point Trej, his entire line could have had the potential, but it took Luke to spot it in 81 (I believe Jedi Search was the book he was rounding up his first initiates, Dorsk among them). I'd have to read that again to see if its true whether Khomm's people are just simple copies, or if each successive clone was "tweaked up" any to enhance any desired ability. I do know that each served a particular purpose in the culture though i.e. If one Khomm clone line was made up of diplomats, that job was kind of predefined for them for each one. I think this was a challenge Luke had to face when persuading Khomm officials let him take Dorsk to train, because doing so would leave a hole in their orgainized society.
October 15, 200323 yr Yeah, in a society with zero unemployment, where do you go to get someone to replace him? It may have been one of the Young Jedi Knight books where he gets mentioned, which would explain why i don't remember reading it, because i don't have it! Elvismiggell.
