Im a old lover of Star Wars Rebellion but I havent played it in ages. I pulled the cd out of a hidden stash and loaded it up so I could play. But when I load the program gpfs saying there was a error in TXTCOMM.DLL

It gives me this error 3 times while loading the game then crashes when I choose what side I want to be. Im using win98SE. Does anyone have a clue whats going on? I have no idea where to repurchase this game or if this will even help so hopefully Ill get some replies.

Hi,

was the game already installed, or did this error occur with a freshly installed game ?

Sorry, I don't know what it could be then.

The .dll is nothing spectacular, just the dialogs for the gamestart inside

the shuttle and stuff like that. Don't know, why this could crash :?

would you be willing to email me your txtcomm.dll file? Mine may be corrupted, So that when I install it installs a corrupted version of the .dll

replacing it with a uncorrupted version may fix the problem. My email is denazh@hotmail.com if you are willing.

Nevermind the file isnt stored locally. I will search for a no cd fix to see if this can keep the error from occuring.

Hey I can be blonde now and then cant i?

Turan, I have an ISO of SWRebellion. If you have a fast connection I could send you the file, it's about 506 mb.

I could, but that would be illegal. So, I'm afraid you will have to buy it from http://www.amazon.com for a mere $29.99

I wanna know why the man has a gun and the gun not the man keeps the world at bay. I wanna hear what the man has to say, what the man has to say might just save me.
Hey Alpha, I'm Canadian, and it is our fault. Rebellion is really a cheap way for Canada (have you seen what our dollar is worth lately...) way to train strategic and tactical experts in order to take over the galaxy. Kinda like that movie "The Last Starfighter".
So the Canadian military budget is being spent on Rebellion? It seems now would be the time for Quebec to take over!

I don't think so...

Why would anyone want to get rid of the greatest US President in over a decade?

Look guys, i have endless respect for the American people, so please don't get me wrong. But Bush is am idiot, and a lot of people judge America by it's leader. Over here Bush comes across as a man who makes misquotes, is a warmongeror, and is too dumb to realise that in many ways his actions are just as bad as those of the extremists. Please note that i used the word extremists without the word Muslim. Bush is going to have to be very careful in the next few months because at the moment he is coming very close to being branded a racist by other western countries.

Here endeth the lesson/rant.

Interesting opinions...now here's how many Americans see him:

1.) An honest man. He has not knowingly and blatantly lied to the American people (at least not yet).

2.) An intelligent man. There was a lot of jokes during his campaign about his mis-quotes. After September 11, the world saw President Bush as an eloquent, intelligent, and humble man. Hell, Gore said he invented the Internet and his favorite basketball player was Michael Jackson.

3.) A peace-loving man. President Bush has made every effort to use diplomatic means to avert war. Does anyone honestly believe Saddam Hussein won't use weapons of mass destruction against his neighbors...especially Israel? He killed his own people, for Christ's sake. Saddam Hussein has not and will not abide by United Nations mandates. When will the world see the UN is nothing but a weak, useless organization which has no power to do anything about conflicts?

No offence, but most Americans really don't give one sweet damn about how the world feels about us or our President.

I think Igor mis-read something from Untimely, Untimely never said this decade he said in over a decade which means it goes back and includes the past 10 yrs.
http://img30.echo.cx/img30/2519/yodavspals4fr0gi.gif

Interesting, and more or less correct Untimely.

He hasn't lied, he has proved to be honest open and humble.

And yes it is obvious that Saddam is not going to listen to the UN.

However, (i warn you now that i'm a Christian), how and do any of us decide when it becomes right to start interfereing in other countries. Why did we wait until 9/11 to help Afghanistan, they were destroyed by over twenty years war, their infrastructure is shot to pieces, but nobody wilkl loan them money because they have no valid banking system, but because they dont have a banking system they can't rebuild their infrastructure, and because they don't have an infrastructure they can't build a banking system.

I won't condemn Bush for what has gone on before he came to power.

However, i do think our society needs to take a long look at how we go about helping other countries.

I mean no offence by any of this.

None taken, and I agree things were left undone for too long. At least this administration is trying to correct some things.
