Hmm...I put my squadrons file in and the game crashes, I take it out and it works perfectly...my head hurts. I'll post the file I'm using, maybe someone else has an idea on what I did wrong...

game will crash if the < and /> are not correct!

I didn't change any of those, so that shouldn't be a problem...

Double check, its one of the easiest things to do accidentally.

I think i figured out your problem.

 

The:

 

X-Wing, X-Wing

 

The X-Wing part needs to have the same amount of:

 

30.0,0.0,0.0

 

Because each one of is one of X-Wing

 

So for example, mine will have 9 X-Wing's, so the need to have 9 different locations due to location of the ship in the squad.

 

Also, line up your code to the other parts of the code, otherwise it will be messy when your reading it.

That's the current code (unchanged except for the positioning of Max_Squad_Size from the posted version). And it still just crashes the game. I've changed all the starfighter units per squadron numbers to 12 (except bombers).

Try removing " 12 " line.

 

I'm only guessing because that's the only difference in our code...

it might actually have to do with how your squadron offsets are set up, cause i set up a 30 fighter battle group and it wasn't all one kid of fighter in the squadron but it worked so i have a feeling that your offsets are two large a value but i could be wrong

I have found that sometimes the game wont allow something no matter what you do, even though it works for others, or worked before.  Try replacing the squadrons.xml, with default and try again, it should work!

Unfortunately true. I've had that happen on other games before. I'll live until the release version ;D

...That better be able to have squadrons changed...
