Watching some of Def's design work in this thread got me wanting to do some of my own ... but I usually get bored after drawing them on paper.Nevertheless, I mentioned one of these things (minus a real name) in an RP I'm doing with Tofu, so might as well make the visuals for it. It's basically a New Republic (NJO time frame) equivalent of the Clone wars infantry transport thing. There's meant to be 3: a small, medium and large - this is the medium.It has a pair of forward facing ball turrets with ... lasers. Another pair with anti infantry lasers. A third of the big ball turrets to guard it's rear. A pair of missile launchers (a snub nose design of the originals) and two more ball turrets with *looks at wookiepedia* composite beam lasers (I might change that to proton beam).The ship focuses on getting it's cargo to the battlefield intact, with significant armour and shielding. The ship is also battlefield optimised, capable of folding in its wings for storage and then re-deploying them for space flight. Once in an atmosphere the ship can the deploy additional repulsors for greater manoeuvrability.It comes equipped with a class 3 hyperdrive.
