I read somewhere that a New Republic patrol finds it somewhere and it was beyond repair.

I think that's what they were trying to do, but I read that's what happened. A damaged beyond repair hulk.

The Pride of Yevetha, A.K.A The Intimidator, was a Mark II SSD, the only real difference being a backup sheild generator. After the Imperials revolted during the war, and took back the fleet, the headed to byss, to find in destroyed. From there, Several of the vessels went to the NR, a large group of them went to Pelleon, and the Inimidator vanished. Best guess, is that the chiss caught it, and blasted it, thinking it was a threat. The NR found it several years later adrift in the Unknown Regions, damaged well beyond repair.

For once, i have no detailed info. Interesting.

I once knew a great man. Nothing got to him, and he always smiled. May he forever rest in peace, knowing fully well that his freinds shall remember him.
If your average Imperial knew about Byss, how come the New Republic didn't find out sooner or later?

The average imperial didnt know about Byss. The sytem the imperials used was hardwired into all Star Destroyers in case of mutiny, i think. Captain hits a button, ship goes straight to Byss.

Well if it hardwired into your average Star Destroyer, why didn't the New Republic find out!

Maybe they did know about it, and changed the hardwire setting int the destroyers they captured. Maybe the Imperials didnt even know about it, and the captives just stumbled across it one day. Maybe only that fleet had it.

So many possibilities man, give me some time to limit them!!!

Why would only that fleet have it?

Wouldn't they be intrested in the old hardwired system first?

And how would the captives..."stumble on it"

As for stumbling onto it, i doubt thats the case. I remmeber it being mentioned ion the bokks that they had been planning for years to do this, so im guessing that they knew about it before hand.

As for the New republic being interested in the old system, would YOU be interested in trying to take on a sytem that housed that much firepower? I would sonner leave it the hell alone.

Maybe the reason the system existed, was BECAUSE of the yevetha. Maybe some higher up thought that it might be a good idea, just in case the yevetha tried something...

Well if the New Republic knew of it's existance, they might have wanted to see what it was, before the Emperor came back...

Which is why i doubt it was on all star imp vessels. My guess is just that fleet, for one reason or another.

Why though? If the Imperials knew the Yevetha were that much of a thread, they wouldn't have built a fleet near their home...

maybe they didnt think the yevetha would be able to stage a takeover that quickly, and that the commander would have enough time to evacuate the fleet.

Why would they put their major shipyard there is they though it was in danger? There were plenty of other places for shipyards...

Yes, that is true. But no one ever said the empire was intelligent, now did they?

And besides, the labor was cheap.

Cheap is an overstatement....I thought the Empire was more intelligent than THAT but I gues I'm wrong. 8O

hey, everybody makes mistakes. Lets not forget the NRs fleet mothballing efforts right before Thrawn appeared.

Yeah but still if the Empire knew everything...it would be kind of....like...uum...how shall I say this....kind of.....DUH~!~

True, then it would be kind of a one sided battle....

Hmm I do belive we've lost each other. I meant if the Empire had a decent idea about the Yevetha...

Oh, right....

Yah, if they had known, i dont think the Yevetha would have been alive long enough to do much of anything. But then the yevetha wouldnt have been able to get slaughtered by the vong.

True true, the stupid Vong. Why would they waste their time sending their fleets to wipe them out to get one planet to join them or w/e it was.
Sweat saves blood-Erwin Rommel
to prove they could.

Everyone knew they could, they were after all the dominant force in the galaxy at that time....
