June 29, 200422 yr Yes the E-Wing is quit good and it a good laser power, but I prefer the imp fighters, there are faster and they look better, but what looks like the T-65 XJ X-wing? I have never seen it or herd of it.Oh and what is so special about the Advance Tie accept that it is Vader’s one.

June 29, 200422 yr Has anyone seen these Clone War cartoons that are supposed to make the link between episode 2 and 3?
June 30, 200422 yr Yes the E-Wing is quit good and it a good laser power, but I prefer the imp fighters, there are faster and they look better, but what looks like the T-65 XJ X-wing? I have never seen it or herd of it. Oh and what is so special about the Advance Tie accept that it is Vader’s one. The E-Wing and XJ-Wing have the same speed as the TIE Interceptor, with the E-Wing being highly maneuverable as well (whether it's as maneuverable as a TIE, I don't know). As for the look of the XJ, to my knolledge Star Wars hasn't released any new design -just a standard X-Wing with another torp launcher (The XJ matched the speed of the E-Wing and tried to up it with firepower - hence a third torp launcher with a total of 9 torps). However, I found a good site where some guy made his own design and model of an XJ X-Wing: http://www.starshipmodeler.com/starwars/aw_xj.htm As for the TIE Advanced, Vader's fighter was sort of a test bed. His fighter was stronger than a standard TIE, faster, had shields and a hyperdrive. The TIE Advanced (which was re-named the Avenger) was one end result of Vader's fighter - though never saw full production due to production costs and the popularity of the cheaper TIE Interceptor. The Avenger/Advanced learnt from Vaders X1 that a hyperdrive and shields were a good idea then went one up by giving it warhead launchers as well. Though, as mentioned before, it was too expensive to outfit the Empire's fighter core with Avengers - as such only specific elite units were given the fighter in very limited numbers http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://img152.imageshack.us/img152/1333/3dartistbanneranimationws1.gifhttp://img154.imageshack.us/img154/4026/rebellionbannerdi2.gif
June 30, 200422 yr Yes but in SM stories about SW and ST, he describes the T-65 XJ X-wing like a new version of le X-Wing, but with a slightly different shape of wings, he also talks about Shadow booms or something like that, have you or any one (if SM could explain it, it would be great, that is why I will post nearly the same thing in other topic) could explain to me what the are, and what is so special about them. And to go back to the T-65 XJ X-wing, has any one got a picture of it, because the image you've given me on that site doesn’t concord with the one of SM, and he seemed quit sure of what he was describing.
June 30, 200422 yr Yeah, picture wise Iwouldn't mind finding a real one, if there are any As for shadow bombs, they're Proton Torpedoes that have the propellant and replace it with addition explosives. Only Jedi can use them because once they've been launched out of a fighter, only a Jedi - using telepathy - can guide the bomb to it's target. If you see something on the forum that you don't have any idea about, one of the best sources I've seen and use often is http://www1.theforce.net/CUSWE/, just type what was said into the search section and chances are it'll bring up an answer and what books it came from, eg:Shadow Bomb -This was the term used by Luke Skywalker to describe Kyp Durron's tactic of launching unpropelled proton torpedoes at Yuuzhan Vong targets with the Force. While this took much of the pilot's concentration away from his starfighter and the surrounding battle, the Yuuzhan Vong were unable to accurately target the proton torpedo when it lacked a propellant trail. This allowed the torpedoes to reach a Yuuzhan Vong craft and detonate before a dovin basil could be used to consume it. Those Jedi Knights who flew the newer T-65XJ3 X-Wing starfighter found that they could load one torpedo launcher with modified proton torpedoes, removing the propellant in favor of more explosive material, making even more potent shadow bombs. (SBS, NJOSB) However, somethings aren't perfect on the site - generally typos http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://img152.imageshack.us/img152/1333/3dartistbanneranimationws1.gifhttp://img154.imageshack.us/img154/4026/rebellionbannerdi2.gif

June 30, 200422 yr What do you mean, "now" has there been an assembly recently that has decided on that???
June 30, 200422 yr Author Admiral Ackbar used the idea of giving the E-Wing to the Jedi Academy as an excuse to give Luke one. June 30, 200422 yr Oh what a cheek, and why did he want to give an E-Wing to Luke that was fine with his X-Wing. And I sought it was the T-65XJ3 X-Wings, the new star fighters of the Jedi? Are you wrong or have I misunderstood what ... tolled me?

July 1, 200422 yr Ah suddenly you lose all your genius!!Mad isn't so up to date after all, Mad said " You depend on me " or he said some thing like that.Wheel you depend on K, but you know, I could go directly to him, and then now one will depend of you, and I think it is better like that, so K what do you think of the question (quote me like that Mad will see that you are answering to my question and not his, you know, I’m also Australian .)
July 1, 200422 yr The XJ designation has been rumored to mean Jedi Knight. At the start of Vector Prime its basically just Kyp's Dozen and the Jedi that have the XJ model. July 2, 200422 yr Where is Krytos? He is normally very good with these kind of things. Better late than never Admiral Ackbar used the idea of giving the E-Wing to the Jedi Academy as an excuse to give Luke one. But I think Skywalker prefered his good old X-Wing. Didn't that happen when the E-Wing was originally released, or there abouts? ? - because, if I remember right, Luke partly didn't except it because the E-Wing didn't work with any droid under an R7 model . . . so no R2-D2 The XJ designation has been rumored to mean Jedi Knight. At the start of Vector Prime its basically just Kyp's Dozen and the Jedi that have the XJ model. At the start of NJO, the newer XJ3s were rare - so as the New Republic didn't have anything against the Jedi at that time it was more fitting to give Elite units including Jedi the fighter until it came into full production - then it spread throughout the New Republic. And the rumour of the J meaning Jedi was brought about by good 'ol Kyp Durron being sighted piloting one of the first in battle. And I sought it was the T-65XJ3 X-Wings, the new star fighters of the Jedi? This happened before the XJ3s were released. Also, by saying it's the new Jedi starfighter doesn't limit the Jedi to this craft - I'd say it's the Jedi's choice. It's just in the NJO novels the when Jedi were said to be piloting a fighter it was always "the brand new XJ3" - even though, Mara Jade piloted a series 4 E-Wing during the final battle at Borleias.Basically, the XJ3 was a more popular fighter with the authors of most NJO books - rpg sources have stated that Series 4 E-Wings were as popular as the XJ3s. http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://img152.imageshack.us/img152/1333/3dartistbanneranimationws1.gifhttp://img154.imageshack.us/img154/4026/rebellionbannerdi2.gif
July 3, 200422 yr lets see: TIE Ds will own in most cases, wonder why it wasent mass produced. I must disagree there, Farlander. Droids are only as good as their programming, real peeps are a lot harder than any droid could be. I think most people would agree when I say that a droid can never match the capabilities of a Human being (or alien ). O, and by the way, welcome to the forums.
July 3, 200422 yr Droid fighters are easy kills and are only good in large numbers - swarm attacks - that and they don't fear or hesitate. lets see: TIE Ds will own in most cases, wonder why it wasent mass produced. I think he was referring to TIE Defender though - I could be wrong Umm KeyanFarlander, which fighter did you mean Defender or Droid? P.S. Is it alright if I/we call you Farlander? Or do you prefer KeyanFarlander? http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://img152.imageshack.us/img152/1333/3dartistbanneranimationws1.gifhttp://img154.imageshack.us/img154/4026/rebellionbannerdi2.gif
July 3, 200422 yr I believe he was referring to the TIE D's from the first Rouge Squadron game at the Battle of Mon Calamari... I believe. If he was not, and was referring to the TIE Defenders than I take back my previous post.
July 3, 200422 yr Author The point with the Defender is that it is very expensive to produce. The interceptors were cheaper and faster to produce. So they gave Defnders to their best pilots and gave the rest Interceptors. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
July 3, 200422 yr The point with the Defender is that it is very expensive to produce. The interceptors were cheaper and faster to produce. So they gave Defnders to their best pilots and gave the rest Interceptors. Right, it was sort of like a reward for being good. You can out your best pilot in a regular TIE but it will weaken their performance thereby weakening their kills. This is smart tactics, really. Too bad the defenders were not cheaper, they could have been a well performing standard fighter-craft for the Empire. I think though, it was always the Alliance that had the upper hand in fighter-craft. The X-Wing was always a great combatant against all enemies. The A-Wing could give an Interceptor a run for it's money. The B-wing was a great counter against capital ships. The Empire, however always had the upper hand in capital ships. Tne Imperial Star Destoryers could beat back many things, they were also great bombardment ships. Even the New Republic realized this during their reign, using any and all captured ISDs they could find. That's just my two credits..
July 3, 200422 yr Author The Empire wanted to discourage insurections and show its might through the design of their ships. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
