I have yet to find a good answer here or Google so, how does bombardment strength compare to planetary shields value? How many Y-wings of (bombardment = 2) does it take to get through a Gen Core I (Shield strength = 40)? Has anyone tested or done the math? I thought it was 21 Y-wings (bombardment total = 42, 20 to get through the shileds of 40 and one more fore Gen Core I bombard defense of 2)

D3DRM.dll is on the Rebellion CD. I have placed it in the folder on my hard drive and still have the cap ship rendering problem.

Couldn't find a reply to this question so I will post my issue here. Capitol ships will not render . Fighters and shots fired can be seen though. Did anyone have a fix for this? Or a link to where it is already answered? Interesting side note: I noticed that with the rendering problem that although the Capitol ships will fire at anything in range they will not move from starting positions. Fighters and bombers are the only ones to move around the map and attack fighters/bombers or capitol ships. given enough bombers and lancer frigates I can prevent the AI from taking a planet.

Are there any screen shots of Reloaded? I have been trying to install it but I can't seem to get it to work properly. I deleted everything, recopied the rebellion folders, unpacked reloaded TC, ran the setup, opened RebEd and loaded the .reb file and no errors this time. When I launch the game I see the team logo but after that it is all the same cut scenes, troops, ships and voices. The one thing that changed with this attempt was the sectors were all in new places. Seswena (sp?) is now a sector on the rim. Not sure what else to try or what step I am missing at this point. I am glad the regular game works though.

I can't launch RebEd it is looking for vcl30.dpl but I don't have it. I can't find it online, just vcl40 or 50. Will they work or can somebody send me 30? EDIT: Nevermind. I guess the RebEd in the refresh package is just a GUI? Downloaded RebEd separately and installed it and then the refresh unpacked launcher worked fine.

I am having a similar problem with my installation of Rebellion on Windows 7 64 bit home. I can see the fighters and I can issue orders to the group but I can not see any capitol ships. I have not changed any models from the originals.

I have not seen it stated anywhere so ... I installed Rebellion on my laptop running Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium and the directions work when you follow them. Just make sure to read and follow them. I will try later to install the mod and RebEd.

It is impractical for either side to maintain the large fleet you describe. One of the best ways to me is to do numerous espionage missions on the planets in a given sector repeatedly. That way you will see the enemy coming and hopefully can send an adequate fleet of your own to respond in time.

I didn't think they were that bad, however like most prequels they end up rewriting the worlds history intentionaly or not. Details are put in to flesh out characters or add to the storyline of that portion only to have it contridict or drastically alter the world it had already established with previously released material.

Yeah that has to be one of the worst campagin ideas I have seen. We know the Pinto explodes when hit from the rear so they come with duct tape and a Nerf football .... figure it out. Here is a crazy thought turn your phone off or just don't answer it.

I have not used RebEd in quite a while but I thought you could dictate starting units and locations. So if you wanted a huge space battle you could place a number of Imperial and Rebel ships in the same system. That way when you loaded the game a tactical battle would start right away. If I am remembering correctly then you should be able to place troops on specific planets to give one side or the other control. You may need to ensure enough troops are present to prevent an automatic revolt though as I don't think you can control loyalty. Although now that I am thinking about it, I also recall a setting to specify if a planet was inhabited or not which would effectively give you control of loyalty. Again from what I recall it did not alter the random planets the game tried to give you at the start. Hope that helped.

Hey thanks for the reply and advice. Some of the stuff I would be interested in are MODs and TCs such as the Rebellion 2 or Rebellion Reloaded projects. It would probably be some time before I could help but Perhaps I could alter my own game at least.

One of these years I would like to learn how to program. Anyone have any suggestions on where to start? Language? A class?

You know, the only problem with being a Star Wars fan and them releasing these collections is that I already own most of these games. Why would I want to pay $50 -$100 for one or two games I don't yet have or possibly even want?

While I do agree he is one of the coolest characters ever, greatest villan he is not. Boba Fett is more of a villian than vader ever was. The guy is probably the only being ever eaten by the Sarlac (sp?) and lives to tell about it without it drasticly effecting his attitude towards life the universe and everything.

I see some quotes of people who have tried the TCs and even some numerical ratings but nowhere do I see a desription of what game it converts or what overall changes have been made. It wouldn't take long to download all of the but if I don't have Homeworld for example at least one of the TCs would do me no good.
