Well, I dont either. At the moment, Quadraxis is simply a reversioned Gargantuan, with a bunch of HPs that you blast and he falls down...I might just keep it that way. I really just want to make him a fearsome enemy. After all, that is what my race stands for...they are expensive compared to the Empire, Rebels, and Consortium, but as my lore says (i was actually writing a book on them before EAW came along) they are an ancient race with technology unmatched in the galaxy, and they are POWERFUL. As such, Quadraxis must be something you don't want to see in the invading fleet...

Yeah. My top three Metroid Bosses of all time...all in the GC series. Number 1) QUADRAXIS!!! Number 2) Meta Ridley (I have a thing for Dragons) Number 3) Tied...Metroid Prime or Emperor Ing form 3 And by the way...about the UAW thing. Im actually trying to import a basic framework for the assembly walker into FOC, which I will build Quadraxis around. I.E. destructible core, etc. Since they both use the Alamo engine, I hope for success.

YYYeeaaahh..About that...I wouldn't call him "in" yet. He has a basic model, but no tex, and no leg move animation. He mostly just floats around shooting at whatever comes near him

Actually, I dont think it ever fired three. I had a few Scimitar class assault ships deployed at the time, and they have central MAC guns as a special weapon...I think I mistook their shots for the TRAMS' guns....I think its always been one shot only. I actually copied and remade the entire magnapulse cannon's XML to suit my gun, so its just a space based magna, if that helps at all.

MINOR!?!?!?!? :o What are you talking about!? Quadraxis is awesome...he's a freaking 50 foot tall assault robot that can generates tornadoes or earthquakes at will...plus he looks totally awesome... Actually, he is my elite battle unit for my race in my mod a la gargantuan. Watch him in FOC, then call him minor again...

Yeah, although I regret that I couldn't get the big red button to function...but oh well Edit: Great...For some reason it wont fire three shots anymore...only one...Ideas?

Hey..I got it to work!!!! ;D My problem was twofold. For all you beginning modders who may have had the same problem...To get your unit to obey the rules of an ability, don't forget ABILITY_COUNTDOWN in SpaceBehavior. Second, give it 2 2 Instead of the no fire when Idle crap (if it is a structure) and it will obey its ability !! Yay!! Now I have a triple firing mac gun! WOOT!

Which Magnapulse code should I use? Every bit I try gives me an error...One other thing. I did some more research on my Cannon and it acts oddly. It fires at random enemies once charged (even though I say FALSE on opp. targeting) and when I am targeting something, when the cannon isnt selected, say, Im telling my Daemon Class assault cruiser "Redemption" to kill the star destroyer's Shield generator, the TRAMS cannon opens fire on said SD

Dr. Nick-You are crashed by MS word? Have you updated to the most recent version? If you have and it fails, your registry is probably diseased. Follow my instructions for EAW but substitute MS word and you should be fine.

I guess it does... Well, It fires now, but does anyone have an idea on why it fires immediately upon coming out of hyperspace? I have it restricted with False False Yes 140 But it fires anyway, which is irritating, as it takes a while to be able to shoot again. Edit: Did some more tests...It fires on its own whether I want it to or not...

Well, Im hoping to modify the code. I can change the LUA files if I must. Its an orbital cannon called the TRAMS cannon...It basically a big, fat, MAC gun with three barrels. It is currently programmed to fire all three shots in sequence (the shots are the plasma cannon from Consortium starbase) and Im trying to get it to work. I dont want an op'd superweapon like that at all-I am trying to balance my race.

HOWEVER...A bad cooling system will not cause a regular crash in the scenario with 1Up'd. For one thing, he is always failing at the same point. Second, he has not mentioned any instances of the PC suddenly slowing to a crawl before it failed (although, if his PC has a piece of crap AMD processor, it might not slow...) Third, he would fail in other apps as well....And fourth, his computer is unlikely to have survived this many failures if they were heat related.

Yeah, Right about now Im browsing the coding for the orbital bombardment... I hope to find a clue there. Ive also made a small breakthrough in the superweapon button, actually....I think that I got it to work, but I believe that my problem may now lie in a n issue with firing my SW, 'cause it wont shoot even if I manually target it....

Actually, Believe it or not, the eclipse ability grants a little icon identical to the one for the proton beam...The big, red, Im gonna push it and you're not gonna like it button is nonexistent...

Hey all! As many of you know, I'm making a new race for FOC!! Well, guess what? They're just about done! ;D I only have one snag I'm trying to overcome. My race (according to a book I was writing about them before I started creating them in FOC) uses an orbital MAC gun that uses the force of the rotating planet...Blah..blah. Anyway, i wanted to know if any of you knew a good way to make a space-based structure that would function as my superweapon. The best way to explain it would be a detached underworld plasma cannon or a hypervelocity gun floating in space...any ideas? I have the model operational, and when I build the cannon, it warps in fine, but when i develop the upgrade, it says "ion cannon available" but when I order a shot,nothing happens.

Ok...Here's what I think you should try. A spontaneous crash in a game is related to either 1) A corrupted game install, 2) Damaged mods, 3) A damaged registry key, 4) Bad RAM, or 5) Dying power supply. (Listed In order of likelihood) First, Uninstall Empire At war AND FOC. Do not keep user settings, profiles, etc, and once the game is uninstalled, visit the EAW and FOC directories on your HDD (i.e. C://Program Files/Lucasarts) and delete the directories as well. In other words, anything EAW or FOC has to go, although you can back up your mods in a desktop folder if you wish. Now, find install the latest Directx; http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/info.aspx?na=22&p=1&SrcDisplayLang=en&SrcCategoryId=2&SrcFamilyId=&u=%2fdownloads%2fdetails.aspx%3fFamilyID%3d2da43d38-db71-4c1b-bc6a-9b6652cd92a3%26DisplayLang%3den And download and install your Video card's latest drivers. This will help in rectifying any DLL errors that may have formed over the crashes. Next, install and run CCleaner http://www.filehippo.com/download/8df12f83ade22f96ae7abc5a72af046d/download/[/color] Use the settings in the attached screenshots for both the Temp file cleaner and the Registry cleaner(IMPORTANT!!) Once your registry is wiped, restart your PC. Start up your computer and reinstall EAW. Instead of letting FOC patch EAW, download the patch yourself. DO NOT INSTALL ANY MODS YET!!! Once the patch is in place, Install FOC, then patch it. Now, test FOC, without installing Mods or maps. Did it work? If not, do this: 1. Click Start 2. Select Control Panel 3. Select System 4. Click the Advanced tab 5. In the Performance region select Settings 6. Click the Data Execute tab in the dialog box that opens 7. Select Turn on DEP for all programs and services except for those you select 8. Click Add. 9. The open dialog box will open. Browse and select FOC and EAW. 10. Click Open 11. Click Apply 12. Click Ok 13. Reboot Now try FOC again. If it STILL fails, and EAW fails as well, you may have a hardware problem. Download Memtest ISO http://www.memtest86.com/memtest86-3.4a.iso.zip and burn it to a cd using magiciso (download a trial version) Boot to the Disk and let memtest search for memory errors. If there are none, and your PC actually survived the memtest w/o crashing, your windows is jacked up and can't run FOC, which means i cant help you. Lets hope it never comes to this though...;-P P.S. One more thing. If nothing else works, Microsoft just released a Beta version of Service pack 3 for windows XP, or SP! for Vista, if thats what you're using. Ok...so-you'll tell me more later but, just to see if I have this straight....when the computer starts the game, it just crashes, then restarts? You know, one second, perfect operation, and next second...BAM!! Bios boot screen? Or does the game say...flicker different colors for a second, then restart the machine? Also....does the computer also do this with EAW? How about any other games like CNC3?

Alright everybody! I did it! What I did was I tried substituting Droid's things for my own, while making some odd changes-like the projectiles and stuff. Oddly enough, Droids asteroid station was perfectly identical to my own, except for the faction name (which I changed) but it worked, and mine didn't? What gives? But anyway, thanks for all the help! -

Sigh..No effect. Can anybody think of something that would be affecting the entire race? See-I cant build asteroid stations either, although they are perfect copies (except for vital changes) of the game's ones. I also tried using droid's turrets (also w/ appropriate changes) and ground stuff...But no build pad is usable.
