    Update: July 24, 2011 Sentinel shield mesh added in (forgot to add the line in it's entity file), Turbolaser/Missile Defenses (for all factions), Golan III, and Vong Starbase have all been rescaled. The Vong also have their own Hangar Defense mesh, a scaled down version of their starbase. Also renamed some things for consistency.
  3. Might I suggest either cropping the picture (in Paint or something similar) or putting the image on an image host (such as photobucket and imageshack) and linking to the picture?
  4. These aren't missing, they are purposely not in the Empire faction. This was done in order to give the Republic and Empire some difference in units. When it comes to ISD models, the ISD line all did look the same canonly speaking, so I fail to see the issue here. As for cruisers, there are capital and cruiser variants of several ships, the ISD line included.

  7. Something must be borked with your install and/or settings, as I run a cracked version as well.
  8. This happens whenever you're starting up any game right after loading Sins. This is due to Sins loading up all the game files and such. If you ever made a new game, and then make a new game right after that, you will notice the second new game will load in a second. There's nothing that can be done about that at this time. Converting to bin might help, but will also make things unnecessarily hard for us modders, as we would have to constantly convert and then reconvert files. Edit: In other words, nothing can really be done about this, nor is it unexpected.

    The MC60 is not empty; hasn't been for a little while now. Though right after an update, it's not unheard of for the game to crash on the first load up since said update; this has happened to me before. Glad to see that the problem resolved itself however.

    Venator is showing up just fine on my end, not sure what issues you are having. Can you give me more details on this CTD?
  13. Trinity might be a reason. I've heard from one or two people of some issues with running SoGE on it, though there shouldn't be any. To get SoGE, follow the instructions here. For SoGE you should have Entrenchment v1.051. Once again, while I would highly recommend doing a clean install of SoGE, as your current one is borked, you can get Sins+Ent here.
  14. Your checksum indicates that you have extra files. I would strongly recommend doing a clean install of SoGE before trying anything else. Though yeah, getting Sins through Impulse (don't get Trinity) will work just fine, that's what I use myself.
  15. Your checksum is off... Though there was an update earlier today. If this checksum is from revision 590 (latest), then your copy of SoGE is missing some files. If not, update and repost your checksum. Being bought from Taiwan may present an issue; the two Chinas are both rather well known for being counterfeiters, the copy of SoaSE you have may be a bootleg version. The fact that you could not get your Sins updates easily is not a good sign.

    Update: July 20th, 2011 Militia VSD now fires green lasers, just like the rest of the militia ships it spawns with. Maps have also been changed, the "Enlarged" series now has low-tech planets like that Medium Random trial, the Multi-system Enlarged have remained how they were before (players are simply dispersed in each system) and have been renamed "Dispersed" instead of "Enlarged" to avoid confusion. The Medium Random map has also been returned to it's previous pre-Enlarged state.
  17. Go to Options -> Mods. On the right you will see a number titled "Checksum". Post that number here.
  18. There's got to be something on your end... The amount of minidumps you are experiencing makes no sense and is considerably more than most. Also the SW Galaxy Lite is loading fine on my end, not sure why it isn't on yours. What's your checksum? I'll compare it to the current one.
  19. This. Starting an old minidump'd save will still cause a minidump, no matter what, unless the thing (like giving fighters shields) that you know is the minidump source is removed.

    Will do. For SVN, have you tried reinstalling it, and if so, would you like to try to login using my credentials? As if they don't work, then it's clear that the issue is something on your end, possibly a firewall/router issue. Update: July 19th, 2011 MC30c shielding and armor reduced, MC40b armor increased, Research Archive artifact now increases research speed by 5%, Jump Gate/Wormhole Travel tech now slightly reduces Hyperspace times between planets and galaxies instead of offering a useless (in SoGE) antimatter loss reduction, Sentinel now has proper icons, Harcell now has it's own Empire tree icon, and Mandator has had it's minelaying ability eliminated due to minidump issues.

    Looks quite detailed; well done. We should pin that thing, anyone who can use that should.
  22. I strongly recommend doing this, as it will greatly reduce the number of minidumps one experiences, and perhaps is the reason I'm not experiencing ingame minidumps like some are. In addition, the first method is extremely easy to use and apply.
  23. Huh... that's interesting... that would explain sudden attacks tho... I'll have to look into that... but it's probably hardcoded mmmhm, indeed it would. The reason for this is that in the Buff file it's coded so that Enemy, and NoOwner, planets also work with other Culture centers.

    The ability is in entity.manifest, check lines 279 and 487 (I put them right after BACKUPSHIELDS and BACKUPSHIELDS2, for reference). I'm also not seeing the VNGSTARBASE double entry, can you tell me what line that is on?
